I love North London. Although I’ve always been a dead-end East London girl from the first moment I lived in the city. Yet, Camden Town has caught my heart from the first time I visited it back in 2014. Halal restaurants in Camden are plenty and thriving. That’s why it can be a bit tricky to know exactly what kind of halal food they offer.

I love finding halal restaurants in Camden Town. Why? Because I know that they will feature all the craziness and chill vibes that you can only find in Camden Town. Bintang is about Indonesian and Malaysian food with a twist. I have been there quite a few times and have always loved their take on chicken, noodles, and intimate curries. We’re talking about halal food in Camden Town that relies completely on tradition and, a thorough family philosophy. 

Located on the hidden Kentish Town Road behind Camden Town, Bintang cooks exquisite food. From amazing halal fried chicken and wings to crispy lamb and Filipino curry dishes, you’ve got it all. Yet, I’d like to add that if you’re craving a delicious lassi, you’ll also find everything you’ve been looking for at this restaurant on Parkway. Sometimes, when you go to Indian restaurants in London, the freshness of the ingredients is questionable. It makes you unsure of what kind of attention has been brought to the cooking process. None of that at Masala Zone. They promise incredibly authentic thalis, curries, and probably serve the best halal butter chicken in London. 

However, if what’s on your mind is finding the best halal grilled meat in London, then Masala Zone will also cater to you. The decor at Band of Burgers is always upbeat and young, and the staff will always welcome you with a smile, whichever branch you choose to visit: Walthamstow, Southgate, Brick Lane, or Camden. One of my favorite halal burgers in London, and I couldn’t recommend enough the lamb burger at Band of Burgers. We’re talking about one of the best independent burger restaurants in London, with a beef patty beyond any deliciousness you’ve ever experienced in town. 

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even build your own burger. This means you can make it as huge as you want and mix-and-match flavors and textures to the max. Pump up your burger, or choose one of the classics. Anyway, you’re bound to have one of the best moments in life there. Simply one of the very best halal restaurants in Camden Town. Since I know many of us are looking for the best halal bakery in London (I know I always am), I thought it would be a nice touch to add to this guide Panadera Bakery. Located on Kentish Town Road, Panadera Bakery is all about that Filipino vibe. They completely undermine the image of a traditional halal English Breakfast in Camden Town with colorful, tasty food.

Only Jerkin’ Kerb Camden

Well, for one, all chicken there is halal. I’m a sucker for nuggets (McDonald’s nuggets, I’m looking at you) and I’m always on the quest for the most delicious nuggets. I love food that comes in bite-size portions. That gives me the impression I can eat bottomlessly but it’s not affecting my calorie count for the day (wrong). 

Only Jerkin’ at Kerb Camden would definitely belong in my guide to the best halal fried chicken in London, to be honest. Not only are the chips some of the best you’ll ever eat in London, but this Camden Town halal street food joint knows its chicken through and through. They first opened in 2016, and have grown to be one of the best halal restaurants in London. 

Get yourself some coconut and honey fried chicken, or a selection of their ginger beer batter chicken nuggets, and all you have left to do is select your sides. Coleslaw, jerk fries, or both? That’s one of the coolest halal street food restaurants in Camden Town, and I’d go day after day if both means and location allowed it. 

Only Jerkin’ has put together their own version of jerk gravy. If you’re feeling like Jamaican food but don’t have the time to reach Brixton, their halal fried chicken and nuggets are the way to go. Sonita’s Kitchen at Camden Market might very well be the best halal street food in Camden Town. Healthy Indian cooking in a joint that also offers dairy-free, vegan, and gluten-free options – what more could we ask for? If you’re looking for the best halal restaurants in London, but would rather steer clear from too-oily dishes, Sonita’s Kitchen is your guy. 

We’ve got curries there that would make any halal Indian food lover’s eyes water with expectation. Just because Sonita’s Kitchen, a family-run halal street food joint, focuses on healthy food, doesn’t mean you’ll end up feeling hungry after you’ve eaten. The halal meats are well-chosen, from chicken to lamb, with the odd seafood dish that will make your mouth water even before you’ve got it in your hands. 

Roti House: Halal Restaurant in Camden Town

I’m a huge wrap lover, whatever shape it takes. It can be the usual hoisin duck wrap that we’ve all seen at Tesco (and that, to this day, remains a favorite of my Meal Deal when I’m out and about) or the famous Malaysian roti canai.
