Since the restaurant has a BYOB policy, it’s not HMC certified. However, they do not serve alcohol, and that’s a big plus. Located on Hackney Road, Thaispice focuses on fresh, authentic Thai food in London, in an area where creatives meet to work and make art on a day-to-day basis. What this Thai restaurant is about, is freshness and pure quality ingredients. By the way, if you’re looking for a great halal steak in London, that’s going to be the place. In addition, you can enjoy delicious Thai curry dishes, Pad See Yew, and famous Pad Thai on a roof garden. That’s always an amazing feature when you’re looking for romantic halal restaurants in London, as most don’t have a view or a rooftop. At Thaispice, the roof garden is illuminated with lots of tiny lightbulbs, and it’s just all really romantic. Not only is it HMC certified, but it’s also close to everything and easily accessible from Stepney Green and Mile End stations. You probably know by now that I am and will always be an East London girl at heart. I have lived in Bethnal Green and Mile End, and even when I was living in Seven Sisters, I still missed the East London restaurants vibe. Laidback, chill, friendly.

I’ve mentioned Bintang on Kentish Town Road quite a few times on The London Local already. Namely, it is to me one of the best halal restaurants in Camden Town. It belongs to the same group that owns Guanabana, a halal Brazilian restaurant that makes delicious brunch and breakfast, and Ramo Ramen that whips up delicious halal ramen in London.

Like Banana Tree, Bintang is a Pan Asian restaurant. With its menu based on Thai, Indonesian, Singaporean and Malaysian cuisines, it caters to both Muslim and vegetarian peeps. Granted, I love Pan Asian, and I love finding mixes of Thai food and other Asian cuisines in London.

That might not be your case, but you’d be missing out big time if you didn’t try the Thai curries and soups there. I think some of my favorite dishes at Bintang are the prawn and calamari. However, I think you know how much I love finding anything fried chicken-related in London. So, get yourself their spicy chicken wings as an entree. You won’t regret it. 

Sauteed tofu, chicken katsu, seabass, and curries – there’s not one dish I haven’t loved at Bintang. Plus, everything is halal there. Although they don’t serve alcohol, it’s a BYOB joint, so that’s something to know if it’s important to you. In any case, one of the best Thai restaurants in London. 

Siam Central: Halal Food in Fitzrovia

Looking for a halal restaurant in Central London? Look no further. Located on Goodge Street, Siam Central is one of the cheapest halal restaurants in London!f You can get a set lunch for about £10, and best believe you’ll get mouthfuls of flavor in your plate. At Siam Central, only the chicken is halal. Yet, since they serve authentic Thai food, you should definitely visit. Plus, there are lots of chicken options on the menu.

And by now, you know what I’m like when it comes to finding fried chicken and halal chicken wings in London. It’s always a dream, the end of a quest, the completion of a lifetime’s mission. I swear I’m not exaggerating. Satay chicken, Thai fish cakes, tempura squid – those are only some of my favorites at this halal Thai restaurant. You’re not even going to miss the beef, there are just too many other delicious options for you to even think about it!

Mama Thai Home Cooking

​Ah, who makes authentic Thai food better than a mama? No one, that’s who. Mama Thai Home Cooking is that oh-too-underrated joint, an affordable halal restaurant where all the meat is halal. They operate on a BYOB policy, worth noting if that’s important to you. However, Mama Thai whips up some amazing non-alcoholic drinks in the back, and you’re going to want to try them. When it comes to the food, you’ve got some of the freshest ingredients blended into each and every Thai dish coming out of the kitchen. 

At Mama Thai, patrons are able to order amazing rice noodle bowls, from Pad Thai to Pud Kee Mao. Decorated with seafood, beef, or chicken, they’re really filling noodle dishes that stick to authentic Thai cuisine as far as it goes. However, if you’re in need of vegan options, there are also some vegan dishes on the menu. You can replace the meat or prawns with tofu, and you’ll still get the amazing kick of lemony and spicy sauces. 

I’m talking about an authentic halal Thai restaurant in London, a well-kept secret away from the bustle of Central London. Freshly cooked, healthy, with an array of crunchy veggies and melty meat, it makes for the perfect mid-week dinner spot, period.

Nakhon Thai: Best Halal Thai Restaurants in London

I actually can’t wrap my head around how much of an underdog Nakhon Thai is, especially if you’re looking for a halal restaurant in Greenwich. Located on the Royal Docks, it not only serves utterly authentic Thai food in London, but it makes for one of the most romantic places to take your other half too! There are not that many romantic halal restaurants in London with a view. Yet, we often look down on restaurants that are not located in Central London. What a shame!

So, with Nakhon Thai, we’re talking about a halal restaurant with outdoor seating from which you’ll be able to watch the sunset in London. How’s that for a romantic moment? That’s a fully Thai restaurant, with all the fresh and tangy flavors this incurs. Delicious, melty fish. Tasty vegetables and sauces to die for, almost literally. Marinated chicken, stir-fried beef and tofu, and lots of vegetarian options. Oh, and have you been looking for halal duck in London? Or halal dumplings, maybe? Guess where you’ll find them.
