If you know where to look, you can dine at the very best halal restaurants in Central London. And well, since you’ve come to The London Local, you should know I write about halal London food a lot. If you want to see some specific zones, I’ve already written about the best halal restaurants in Leicester Square, Mayfair, Covent Garden, and I’m set out on building the biggest London Halal Food Directory you’ve ever seen. There are so many halal restaurants in Central London that it can become a bit of a hassle to find the best ones. I mean, who wants to spend hours looking for the best halal food in London… when you could be eating it? That’s why we’re meeting today, so you can figure out what your options are in terms of the best halal restaurants in Central London fast.

A while back, I told you about the best halal restaurants in Covent Garden, Leicester Square, East London, and Mayfair. I felt like it would be nice to write about the best halal food Central London can offer outside of these zones. I’ve selected some halal Korean BBQ, some Asian food, some halal Mexican food… It’s important to have some diversity, and we’re lucky enough that some of the best halal restaurants in Central London cook some very eclectic menus.

It’s not just about halal fried chicken anymore – you can find the fanciest halal steak in London, and a wide range of international cuisines that even span out to halal sushi in London! And that, folks, is amazing. If you’re a foodie like me, you’re bound to love those halal restaurants in Central London!

Halal Korean BBQ London: SuperStar BBQ

Not easy to find amazing halal Korean BBQ in London, I know one thing or two about it. SuperStar BBQ is one of those halal Korean BBQ restaurants in Central London where you can experience Asian barbecue and relish amazing halal food. Not all meat is halal at SuperStar BBQ, only the chicken. Still, there are plenty of dishes and different sauces that will make you enjoy dinner without feeling that you’re missing out.

Since it’s located in Holborn near Tottenham Court Road, SuperStar BBQ is very easy to access. The menu is easy to understand and to be honest, it’s some of the best Korean halal food you’ll find in Central London. If you want to go full-on Asian culture, there’s a karaoke room downstairs that can accommodate up to 25 people. All in all, one of the best halal restaurants in Central London where you can spend a great, full evening.

Halal Restaurants in Central London: Halal Nandos London

There are lots of amazing halal restaurants in Central London. Yet, sometimes, when you go out with friends or family, halal fine dining restaurants are not the first choice. Those are reserved for occasions where you really want to splurge. Money doesn’t make the moments in my opinion, and I think it’s safe to say that halal Nandos is something quite a lot of Muslims in London are after.

Well, here you go. If you didn’t know, Nandos has a lot of halal chicken restaurants in London. With a certificate in each of their fully halal Nandos restaurants, you can rest assured that you’ll be eating your fill of tasty grilled chicken. After all, grilled and fried chicken, like sushi restaurants in London, provides some real comfort food.

The full list of halal Nandos is available on their website. The flame-grilled peri-peri chicken Nandos uses is mixed with amazing sauces and chilies that blend in perfect plates. I’ve been to Nandos countless times, and I’ve always had the coolest moments there. The flavors, friend, the flavors. They’re indescribable.

Flame-grilled to order, with a mix of lemon and garlic, the Afro-Portuguese chain’s chicken is fresh and halal in their restaurants in Bethnal Green, Whitechapel, Baker Street, Bayswater, Brixton, High Street Kensington, Mile End, and Finsbury Park. Those are just a few options – there are many more halal Nandos restaurants in and outside of London. The most central halal Nandos would be Bethnal Green or Baker Street. At least, you don’t have to travel too far out of the city center.

Halal Steak in London: TDQ Steaks

We’ve covered already how tricky it can be to go out and eat halal steak in London. Not anymore. TDQ Steaks, one of the best halal steak restaurants in London, is located in Embankment, near Charing Cross Road. I personally love the whole area by the Thames, up to London Bridge so if you’re like me, get some delish halal steak at TDQ Steaks and have a stroll on Southbank to digest it all.

I’ve written about the best halal steak houses in London a while back, but I didn’t include TDQ Steaks London, and I felt it needed to be mentioned. The restaurant imports all the best beef meat from Argentina, Japan, Canada, Scotland, and New Zealand. Not all meat there is halal, however, TDQ Steaks does indicate on their menu which meats are available in a halal version.

And what’s best than halal wagyu beef in London, or delicious Prime Steer from New Zealand? Not much, not much. And that’s how TFQ Steaks have earned their spot on this list of the best halal restaurants in Central London: with quality and presence. It’s not halal fine dining… but it is.

Wing Wing: Best Halal Fried Chicken London

If you’re like me, you’re probably a fan of fried chicken. The thing is, there are lots of halal restaurants in London that offer fried chicken. But what I wanted to talk about is Wing Wing, one of the ultimate fried chicken spots in Leicester Square, where all the chicken is halal.

The personality this restaurant has is beyond cool. We’re far from halal fine dining in London with this one, and rather, you should definitely go with friends in-between visits to the best Christmas markets in London, or some of the coolest art galleries.

Double fried, with amazing sauces and seasonings, the WingWing halal fried chicken is a must-try in terms of junk food in London. I was always attracted to Asian snacks, and this Korean fried chicken joint ticks all the boxes. Soy, garlic, seaweed fries… As far as the best halal restaurants in Central London go, WingWing is fast, affordable, halal, and located right in the heart of London. Jackpot.

Halal Mexican Restaurant London: Meztizo

Mestizo is one of the best halal restaurants in Central London if you like Mexican food. There are not that many halal Mexican restaurants in London and this one is worth a visit. Located in Euston, near St Pancras station, Mestizo offers a menu full of tacos, grilled beef, and lamb all as delicious as the previous dish.

The beef, lamb, and chicken at Mestizo are all halal, which will really allow you to enjoy a full menu of Mexican delicacies. Those tacos are a must-try, though. Still, if you want to really try Mexican food at its finest, do pick some dishes that you’ve never encountered before. That’s the best way to discover a new culture, isn’t it?

Burgeri: Best Halal Burger in London (Oxford Circus)

Just a few days ago, I told you about Burgeri. The Doha-based chain offers addictive halal burgers in Central London, just off Leicester Square. Located just opposite the famous Liberty store, Burgeri cooks some burgers that you’ll never get over. Decadent fries and onion rings, halal beef hot dog, tasty burgers… They have it all, dressed in delicious halal wagyu beef and black Angus.

I’d say that if halal fine dining London turned burger, it would pop out as Burgeri. I love finding new halal restaurants in London, and this newcomer is one to try if you’re in Leicester Square looking for a great bite and amazing service.

Middle Eastern Halal London Restaurants: Berenjak Soho

Berenjak Soho is one of the best restaurants in Central London for Persian food. There, the chicken and lamb are halal, and since the menu is filled with amazing options with these meats, you’re in for a treat. Persian, Afghan, Jordan cuisines are some of my favorites, with a mix of Arab and Indian flavors. All the Middle Eastern halal restaurants in London have tradition stuck to their menu, and Berenjak is just one of the best in Central London.

The plus is that this flavorful menu is available in Soho, near every cool attraction! Okay, maybe not every attraction, but definitely some of the best bookshops in London and coolest London shops where you can treat yourself on the cheap. Rustic style, with childhood flavors reinterpreted with British local produce and amazing spices and dips.

Best Halal Steak Restaurants Central London: Brigadiers

I’ve told you about the best halal Indian restaurants in London a while back, but Brigadiers is different. A halal Indian barbecue in Bank – that’s a sight. To be honest, Bank is not the area where I would have expected to eat amazing halal food, but, oh well. Skewers, grilled lamb chops, and all kinds of grilled treats are to be found on the Brigadiers’ menu.

Out of all the halal restaurants in Central London, Brigadiers has some of the most delicious, juicy meats. Would be a crime not to go, especially when you love spice combinations as much as I do. So if you’re around St Paul’s and Bank, my two cents? Go try this amazing joint!

Best Halal Restaurants in Central London: Rasa Sayang

As far as halal Malaysian restaurants in London go, Rasa Sayang is one of the best spots you can choose. Why? Because you can truly feel the tradition and authenticity in each of the dishes. With inspiring halal wok dishes, you’re traveling with every bite.

Some of the best halal restaurants in London are located up North or in East London, which can make it a bit of a hassle to dine out. Who wants to spend an hour in the tube at rush hour?

Not me, that’s who. And that’s where Rasa Sayang is doubly dope: it’s one of the best halal restaurants in Chinatown and Soho. While the Singaporean and Malaysian street food is amazing with halal meat, the restaurant can accommodate and turn some of the dishes into vegetarian plates. If you’ve never visited Malaysia, that’s your cue to try some of the best dishes of your life.

Best Halal Chinese Restaurant Central London: P.F. Chang’s

Next up, another one that’s pretty rare on the city scene: halal Chinese places to eat in London. I talked about the best halal Thai restaurants with you and wrote about P.F. Chang’s already, but it does deserve another mention here. It’s one of the best restaurants for halal fine dining in London, and P.F. Chang’s is so famous that it does have other restaurants in Dubai and the USA as well. There, the chicken, lamb, and beef are all halal.

If you want to take your mom out for dinner or go on a romantic date with your other half, that’s one of the very nice halal restaurants in Central London where you’ll want to dress up for the occasion. However, this is a place where you can also go with your friends; its lively atmosphere is awesome for a dinner after work. Try the Dynamite Shrimp, one of the best dishes P.F. Chang’s cooks in their branches all over the world.

The starter is a bit pricey, at £12.50 a plate, but it’s honestly a tempura dish that you can’t find anywhere else. I know one doesn’t go to a halal restaurant for shrimp – the contrary of it, actually. But this alone might be the reason why P.F. Chang’s is one of the best halal restaurants in Central London in my eyes.

Best Halal Kebab in London: Halal Guys London

The Halal Guys menu has always attracted many, many people in London. In fact, The Halal Guys Leicester Square used to be the flagship of the brand founded in 1990. They didn’t reopen the flagship after Covid as Central London got quieter and less frequented by tourists and locals alike. However, tourism in London is slowly picking up again, and so The Halal Guys in Earl’s Court deserves a good mention. Of course, this one is not as central as the other halal restaurants on this list. But still.

Sometimes, I do include other places as I’m sure they’re a hit among all the best halal restaurants in Central London and in the suburbs. So delish that it would be a shame to tread on the right path when I know I can tell you about at least one or two other places, even if they’re just a bit further.

The Halal Guys menu is built on “unique American halal food” that takes a bit from all the fast-food favorites. In there, you can find halal platters of chicken, rice, falafel sandwiches, and of course, fresh ingredients that will make your mouth water.

The New York-based halal chain has expanded to the rest of the world, with restaurants in London, Toronto, Sydney… Little by little, they’re growing with easy-to-eat platters of fresh food. It’s halal kebab in London at its best, mixed with comfort food and friendly moments. In a wrap or on a plate, you’ll love The Halal Guys menu.
