Halal Burgers in London: 7 Best Halal Restaurants in Leicester Square
When I set out to write about the best halal burger places in London near Leicester Square, I knew I wouldn’t find that many gourmet burger halal options. That’s fine – it’s better to have five or six options where you can really relish the entire menu rather than going to a burger restaurant and being able to eat only one burger, right?
What’s more, in this article, I won’t be writing about halal restaurants in East London. That would have been too easy, considering just how many halal burger places there are in the East, starting with Grounded and Dulce Coffee, for instance. Yet, when you visit London, Whitechapel and Aldgate East are not the first destinations for tourists. So let’s get on with the best halal burger places in London near Leicester Square – The London Local-approved!
Best London Halal Burger: Siirgista Bros
Siirgista Bros is one of the best halal burger places in London – not only in Leicester Square. Located in Rupert House, Siirgista Bros is a much-loved burger place that has plenty of the best halal junk food on the menu. Decadent burgers, crispy addictive fries, hot dogs, juicy wraps… They have it all.
Burger restaurants in London usually put a lot of effort into sourcing the ingredients and stacking the burgers. Siirgista Bros, formerly known as Burgista Bros, is certainly one of those restaurants that really focus on the quality of their halal food in Central London.
If you’re ever having a walk near Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus, and Leicester Square, that’s definitely one of the halal burger places you’ll want to visit. Oh, and if you’ve been looking for a kind of halal KFC in London, they also make some of the craziest buffalo wings.
Siirgista Bros Halal Burger London Address: 19 Rupert Street, London W1D 7PA
Best Halal Burger in Leicester Square: Buns & Buns
Buns & Buns in Covent Garden is located just a stone’s throw away from Leicester Square. While you walk from one to the other, you’re bound to enjoy the walk. There are so many restaurants in this area of London that you’ll just relish all the windows and little shops while walking to Buns & Buns.
Taiwanese Bao Burgers are their specialty, and I have to admit I am a great lover of Asian food. As such, bao burgers, with their specific bread texture and amazing dishes turned sandwiches, are one of my favorite finger foods ever.
Steak and chicken there are both halal and confirmed by the owner. However, as every time I tell you about a place where not all the meat is halal, I’d suggest calling beforehand to ensure the dishes and burgers you’ll want are actually halal. In any case, this Miami burger restaurant is filled with what could qualify as the best London burgers on the menu.
Buns & Buns Halal Burgers London Address: 5 Covent Garden Piazza, WC2E 8RA
Best Halal Burger Carnaby Street: Stax Diner
There are not that many halal burger places in London that I feel so strongly about. 28 days aged dry beef is something to feel strongly about, though, isn’t it? Also, if you’re searching for halal KFC London, Stax Diner, once again, will provide.
Stax Diner Halal Burgers & KFC London Address: 1.7 First Floor, Carnaby, London W1B 5PW
Shake Shack Halal Burgers in London
When I type “best halal burgers near me London”, I honestly don’t really expect to be eating chicken. Once, McChicken was the only McDonald’s burger I would order. It’s perfect, in my opinion, whether in terms of chicken crispiness or chewiness of the bread. And, oh, let’s not forget the sauce. Well, to my knowledge, McDonald’s in the UK is not halal yet, but luckily, we have lots of halal burger options in London.
Shake Shack, although it is one of the big burger restaurant chains in London, does offer halal chicken in the UK – and it’s certified, too! However, it’s prepared in a facility and kitchen with pork present, so it’s up to you whether you want to eat at Shake Shack or at one of the other halal burger restaurants in Leicester Square I’m telling you about today.
Even if you don’t get a halal chicken burger at Shake Shack, you can still get a vegan patty, some crispy and dreamy fries, and a made-to-order delicious milkshake. In any case, you’ll always get the best dishes since Shake Shack makes it a point to source premium, local ingredients.
Shake Shack Halal Burger Leicester Square Address: 1-2 Coventry St, London W1D 6BH
Best Halal Burgers Leicester Square: Burgeri
Burgeri is one of the newcomers to the halal burger scene in London. Whether you want to order chicken or Wagyu beef, prepared to be served. The burgers there really taste like the ingredients have been picked out just a moment before out of the Earth. They have some cool twisted burger options with guacamole, chili, or Hawaiian style, and they’re all really worth a try.
Hot dogs, Black Angus, wagyu, and amazing fries really blend to make the best halal burgers in Leicester Square. I love discovering new burger places in London, and to be fair, the Qatar-based chain is one of the best I’ve come across this year.
Burgeri Halal Burgers London Address: 22 Great Marlborough Street, London W1F 7HU
Best Halal Burgers in Soho: Absurd Bird
Halal KFC and halal burgers all in one place, that’s the dream, innit? When you have a craving for halal KFC, you can usually order it and receive it at home pretty fast. Yes, but what if you’re around Leicester Square and it’s cold outside? That’s when you pull out your smartphone and look up the best halal burger places in London with halal wings. And not all halal restaurants that offer one also offer the other. That’s where Absurd Bird comes into play.
All of the chicken used there is confirmed to be halal, but as usual, I’d always call before going to a restaurant to be sure when the restaurant is not HMC-certified. Well, to be fair, Absurd Bird recalls the Stax Diner story, with the Deep South influences. However, it’s more London-style than American style when it comes to the decadence of the burgers, in my opinion. A delicious place to get the best halal burgers in London, in my opinion. They also have lots of sauces – and they’re all a must-try when you go to Absurd Bird.
Absurd Bird Halal Burgers & KFC Address: 25 Peter Street, London W1F 0AH
Best Vegan Burgers in Leicester Square: Kua ‘Aina
Kua ‘Aina is not the best of all halal burger places in Leicester – but it deserves a mention on this list. Why? Because if you’re looking for the best London burgers, this Hawaiian-inspired restaurant will deliver. All of their burgers beef patties can be replaced with a vegan patty, that I have personally tried. It equals all of the best gourmet burger halal places may offer on their menu.
The marinades and seasonings are homemade, and everything from the buns down to the sauces is absolutely exquisite. Kua ‘Aina is located just off Carnaby Street, a stone’s throw away from Leicester Square.
What’s amazing is that at this time of the year, Christmas lights in Carnaby Street, in addition to the street neons will make your burger moment even more magical. So yes, it might not be the place where you’ll get the best halal burgers in London, but you’ll not even feel the difference between beef and the amazing veggie patty.
Kua ‘Aina Burgers London Address: 26 Foubert’s Pl, Carnaby, London W1F 7PP
