Best Vegan Restaurants in London: Thenga Cafe
If you’re ever looking for the best vegan street food in London, there’s a perfect place for this – and aside from that, it might just be the best vegan restaurant in Kings Cross. If you’ve been here before, then you probably know I absolutely love the whole Kings Cross/St Pancras area.
Not only because it’s full of travelers from all over the world, but because it’s also one of the best places if you’re looking for the best vegan restaurants in London. It’s trendy, it’s young, and there are more vegan Indian restaurants, bakeries, and fast foods offering vegan food around there than a lot of other places in London.
So, Thenga Cafe. Even if you’ve been looking for vegan places in Shoreditch, Hackney, or the rest of East London where lots of vegan folks have chosen to open their own thing, you should definitely give a chance to this vegan restaurant in Kings Cross. It’s a cafe that offers a mix of the best vegan Indian food and European dishes switched up in vegan mode. Love it so much.

Not only that, but usually, dining at the best vegan restaurants in London can quickly get quite pricey, right. At Thenga Cafe, you’ll be able to enjoy amazing dahl, all kinds of wraps, parathas, cakes, dosas, and more – all vegan, all really absolutely delicious. The fact that the prices are so low for this part of the city just makes it a destination you don’t want to miss. Just enter through the YMCA hostel as the restaurant is hidden, and you’ll get some of the best vegan food in London for just a handful of pounds.
Vegan Breakfast London: Mildreds
I have many vegan friends, and I always wonder how someone can quit eating meat and become a vegan entirely. I’ve always been fascinated by all kinds of diets and I’ve even been practicing intermittent fasting for a few years now – had my keto period as well. Vegetarian and vegan food is one sustainable way of living for me at times since I don’t really eat meat that much anyway. Plus, there are some places that really make it a point to make vegan restaurants in London great again. One of them is Mildreds.
It’s not only London’s first vegan restaurant but also my first place to have the best vegan breakfast in Camden. It has a bunch of vegan dishes on the menu and also some non-vegetarian dishes as well. NV (non-vegan) is labeled next to dishes that have NV ingredients. Basically, you can come and have breakfast and brunch with other people at Mildreds without worrying about options too much, and I’m here for it.

Breakfast at Mildreds never fails to impress. Some of their best dishes include their aubergine, muffins, granola bread, and almond or coconut milk in drinks. Not only breakfast, but their all-day menu also tastes delicious. This place is an all-rounder, I would say.
If you like vegan food that breaks out of the ordinary, with Asian and Sri Lankan flavors, here you go. At Mildreds, my favorite starter is the gyoza dumplings. Chinese fusion of mock duck with extra vegan cheese is always mouthwatering too, and one of the things Mildreds do best is totally their vegan breakfast in London.
Best Vegan Restaurants in London: The Waiting Room
I have had a great time every time I’ve been in South East London, and my favorite spot to enjoy a delish vegan brunch there was none other than “The Waiting Room” on Deptford High Street. My favorite options in vegan brunch are their toasted Bagel with vegan sausages, onion, and pickles. Other delicious vegan options include pull banana blossom and vegan pastrami – I’m always amazed when I see meat replicated so well in vegan dishes.

This is one of the best vegan restaurants in London for two reasons: the quality of the food, along with prices that are pretty reasonable. Vegan brunch per person costs only £7, including coffee. Areawise, the cafe is small, but they have an outside garden full of pot plants.
It feels like heaven when you’re taking a break at The Waiting Room from the busy old streets of London. If you are searching for the best vegan brunch in London, you must go to The Waiting Room once – I promise you that you won’t be disappointed.
Best Vegan Restaurants in London: Blank Brixton
From toast to sausages, Blank Brixton offers the best vegan breakfast in London. Avocado, mushrooms, toast, baked beans, hash brown, tomatoes, and sausages, you will find everything on their menu. I always recommend my friends to visit Blank Brixton at least once and try their herby and garlicky hash browns mushrooms and hash brown. I personally love hash browns, and to be fair, even thinking about theirs makes me hungry. Just one of the best vegan restaurants in London, and if you’re looking for vegan pastries in London, that’s also a good spot for you.
Everything about Blank Brixton is worth admiring, and if you want a chill moment where you’ll be well taken care of, that’s your new favorite joint right there. The staff is super friendly, and the cafe environment is relaxed. I simply love every dish on the menu, and I can definitely say they serve the best vegan breakfast in Brixton.
Best Vegan Restaurants in London: Halo Burger
I have tried many vegan burgers in London with my vegan and vegetarian friends, but Halo Burger preps the best burgers out there. Halo burger describes itself as “a new spin on fast food, pairing a nostalgic experience…”, and I completely agree with it.
Halo Burger is the only London vegan burger restaurant that serves the Beyond Meat Burger. It might also very well be the only vegan burger in the world that tastes exactly like a meat burger, with all the sauces used in this burger being vegan.

Their signature, The Halo Burger, is worth dying for. Two 1/8 lb hand-formed patties, with a juicy slice of beef tomato, old school white onions, crispy lettuce, 100% plant-based American style cheese, and tangy signature house-made sauce are used to create a game-changing vegetarian burger. It costs only £9.50 for a huge amount of delish food.
Being a non-vegan person, I couldn’t even identify whether its a meat burger or a vegetarian burger. High-quality ingredients are enough to make many loyal customers, and I can proudly say I’m one of them.
Vegan Restaurant Covent Garden: Meatliquor
Meatliquor is one of the best vegan restaurants in London around Covent Garden. They have an amazing variety of vegan as well as non-vegan dishes perfect for any palate. On their menu card, V (vegetarian) and PB (Plant-Based) are mentioned to avoid any inconvenience to the customers. The food flavor is beyond words, the atmosphere is great, the prices are reasonable, and the environment is cozy. Could we really ask for more?
One of my favorites from their Green and Serene section is Burgaloo and Satan Fingers. They have (£10) lunch available from 12 pm to 5 pm Monday to Friday. In this deal, you can have a burger, fries, and a soda between popping in stores and famous museums in London. If you want to have a good meal at affordable prices, Meatliquor is the place for you. They are one of the best vegan restaurants in Covent Garden for sure if you want some good vegan fast food at an affordable place.

Shoreditch hosts many of the best vegan restaurants in London, but no eatery can beat Essential Vegan in flavor. They have fine dining dishes with a bunch of vegan menu options. Temple of Seitan opened in Camden not too long ago and yet, they have managed to be on the list of the best vegan restaurants in London. Two words they used in their marketing are enough to attract both polemics and customers: cruelty-free chicken. It’s the first vegan chicken restaurant in London, and they make really amazing vegan fried chicken. My favorites are the fried seitan sold in buckets, wraps, and with Mac n Chicken topping.

Best Vegetarian Breakfast in London: Daisy Green
The diverse menu of “Daisy Green” is what all the vegans in London were always waiting for. Every single dish on the menu meets dietary requirements.
The Shakshouka with charcoal bread, sliced tomatoes, and baked free-range egg is a must-order that I would recommend to anyone blindly. I found this combination on the social media of a friend who loves vegan dishes, and it turned out amazing. I have heard the good remarks about their award-winning banana sandwich. I never tried it personally.
