12 Best Halal Restaurants in Knightsbridge London

Thanks for joining me on a new London halal food blog today: the best halal restaurants in Knightsbridge London. Knightsbridge, Mayfair, Chelsea, Paddington… All those kinds of areas in West London are places I enjoy taking long walks in. I’ve written about the most delicious posh halal restaurants in Mayfair a while back. Then, I backed it with the best halal fine dining restaurants in London. Most are located in West London, so that makes the choice – and the walk around the area that much easier.

I love going window-shopping around Knightsbridge London, Harrods, and Paddington, knowing perfectly well that almost everything is out of my budget. Except maybe some of the fine dining restaurants that I treat myself to once in a while. So yes, we’re gathered here today to find the best halal restaurants in Knightsbridge. We’re talking fine dining cuisine and classic halal food at all hours.

Best Halal Restaurants in Knightsbridge London: Top Halal Food Near Harrods

There are many restaurants in Knightsbridge. Yet, since the area is nothing like East London – where you can find some of the best halal breakfast places or halal Korean BBQ – I thought it would be nice to talk about halal food near Harrods.

Prices are indeed higher than East London or halal burger places in Leicester Square. For instance, London SW3 is known for being one of the most expensive areas in London. As such, halal restaurants in Knightsbridge serve more fine dining dishes than affordable meat.

However, some of the Knightsbridge halal restaurants I’m going to talk about today – even if they are located near Hyde Park and Harrods, serve meats that don’t always break the bank. Let’s get on with the best halal food, from juicy steak at Zelman Meats to halal Italian food at Caffè Concerto!

Best Halal Restaurants in Knightsbridge: Zelman Meats

I have mentioned Zelman Meats in a previous halal food blog on the London Local. That was one where I talked about the best halal steak places in London. Well, if you are looking for amazing halal food near Harrods, Zelman Meats is it. Its amazing selection of halal meats will conquer your heart in the blink of an eye.

Although not all meats are halal on the Zelman Meats menu, there are quite a few delicious steak options for your food lover palate. For instance, the Picanha, the fillet, or the Chilean wagyu beef are all halal. That’s more than what you can expect from most fine dining restaurants in London.

All halal items are clearly marked at Zelman Meats, and since the quality is premium, it’s safe to say that this is one of the best Knightsbridge halal restaurants. I would recommend trying either the burrata or the Lobster croquettes as an entree if you need some direction.

Of course, I know a lot of you guys are also looking for the best halal burger in London when you go out with your mom, your friends, or your other half. That’s why you’ll be happy to know that Zelman Meats even has a wagyu burger coupled with sriracha sauce, delicious crispy onions, and triple-cooked chips. They will make you wonder why you’ve never heard of this restaurant before. If you were looking for the best halal food near Harrods, that’s the place for you.

As per usual, I do recommend calling the restaurant beforehand to discuss halal options on the menu – that way, you can ensure the most delicate evening ahead.

Best Halal Food Near Harrods: The Mantl Turkish Restaurant

In this list of the best halal restaurants in Knightsbridge, you’ll find some places that have been mentioned before. For instance, in my halal food blog for the best fine dining restaurants or the best halal steakhouses in London, I have mentioned Zelman Meats. I have also talked about The Mantl, which also offers some of the best halal food near Harrods.

I know that most often when you want to get halal food, you want to avoid eating the same old same; Indian, Pakistani, or Turkish food. Let me reassure you right there: The Mantl is one of the restaurants in Knightsbridge where you can get halal barbecue, chicken wings, lamb ribs, or lamb cutlets. All halal, all different, and all deliciously cooked over an open coal pit.

It’s about the finest halal fine dining in Knightsbridge. It’s about heritage, pleasure, family, and overall great food. Since Knightsbridge is not exactly in Central London, I would recommend reading reviews before you actually travel to the restaurant’s address. Yet much like Zelman Meats, The Mantl has some of the finest halal food near Hyde Park and Harrods.

Italian Halal Restaurants in Knightsbridge: Caffe Concerto

This is something that you guys really look for on The London Local: the best halal Italian restaurant in London. It would be nice to include something a bit fine dining and a bit accessible when you visit restaurants in West London. Caffè Concerto is one of my favorite restaurants in London – especially when it comes to the best restaurants for a halal afternoon tea in London.

Caffè Concerto is one of the restaurants of the future that caters to literally everyone. Whether you go on a Monday, a Wednesday, or Sunday, Caffè Concerto on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge has vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and halal options. A dining place that respects ingredients and Italian heritage until the very end.

For instance, you can definitely get a cream tea and afternoon tea for one or for two there. You can get it gluten-free or halal. On the main dish side, some of the halal options include grilled chicken breast, spaghetti alla bolognese, and braised lamb shank. That’s more than a lot of the restaurants in Knightsbridge London can vouch for.

So, whether you want to go for breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner, lunch, or just a snack, you are sure to find halal food options at Caffè Concerto. You know, there are not a lot of halal Italian restaurants in Knightsbridge. So if you come across Caffè Concerto near Green Park Station… Well, you know what to do.

Lebanese Halal Restaurants in Knightsbridge: Al Arez

Bet you were wondering when I would talk about London halal restaurants with Lebanese and Middle Eastern options, right? Al Arez is one of those halal Lebanese restaurants in London where you can get true Middle Eastern specials. Baked pastries, Middle-Eastern spicy sausages, chicken, and of course, hummus and famous tabbouleh are all featured on the halal Lebanese restaurant’s menu.

I’ve always been a great lover of Lebanese cuisine, and if you tell me that I can get it for an affordable price in a place like Knightsbridge, I will be the happiest girl in the world. For instance, lentil puree costs less than a fiver while the famous Fattoush (stuffed grapevine leaves) costs £6.20. Vegetarian main courses are available for those of us who don’t necessarily feel the need to eat meat even when dining at a halal restaurant.

Although Al Araz is meant to be completely halal menu and alcohol-free, I’d still suggest calling beforehand to ensure all interesting options are halal. Better not to have any surprise. If you’re looking for delicious halal food near Harrods that gives you a real serve for your money, that’s a Knightsbridge restaurant to visit ASAP.

Best Halal Food Knightsbridge London: Layalina

Still looking for the best Lebanese restaurants in Knightsbridge? Then I can suggest Layalina. This halal food joint focuses on classic Middle Eastern cuisine with flatbreads, hummus, falafel, soujok, and – oh dear – halal chicken wings. You know how much of a fried chicken lover I am – I even wrote about halal fried chicken in London just a few days ago.

Their halal grill and shawarma selection with skewers, lamb, and chicken really is something to taste if you decide to visit Layalina. Especially if you are looking for a place for halal brunch in Knightsbridge – that’s one of the references that don’t want to miss. Like Al Araz, I recommend calling to ensure the halal status of the meats.

Halal Restaurants in Knightsbridge: Al Basha London

Let’s get on with the third halal Lebanese restaurant in Knightsbridge: Al Basha. If you’re looking for delicious halal food near Harrods, this is a prestigious place where you’ll experience flavors that span from Egypt to Lebanon. Okay, we are not in Central London and much like the other restaurants, you’ll have to travel to get to this place.

However, if you’ve ever been around Hyde Park, Knightsbridge, and Paddington, you know that the address boasts incredible views. I am not talking about a restaurant view of London from building tops, but rather a view of rich, decadent surroundings.

Once again, I would recommend calling beforehand to book and make sure that all the food used in their cuisine is halal. But to be fair, there are plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and even gluten-free options at Al Basha. The signature dish is koshary maasry, a combination of macaroni, lentils, fried onions, and spicy tomato sauce. It will make you feel like you’re in Egypt with the first bite. For the entree, choose between hummus, grilled aubergine puree, or vine leaves. They all provide soft and tasty mouthfuls. I can guarantee you’ll love your experience of Middle Eastern halal food in Knightsbridge with Al Basha – word.

Halal Food Near Hyde Park: Bao Kitchen

Now that we’ve extensively talked about Middle Eastern, Egyptian and Lebanese restaurants in Knightsbridge, it’s time to talk about Taiwanese halal food. As confirmed by the owner, all the meat at Bao Kitchen Knightsbridge is halal. Pork is present on the Bao Kitchen menu, however, all the dishes are prepared separately. No stress about cross-contamination in the cuisine.

When you’re looking for halal food near Harrods, there is actually nothing better than finding the halal food at Harrods. I’ve already mentioned how crazy I am about Asian food before. Whether we’re talking halal Korean Fried Chicken, Japanese food, Vietnamese pho soup, or Chinese dumplings, the spice blends always catch my heart.

At Bao Kitchen – named after the small all-white bao sandwiches – you can get lobster, prawn, or even wagyu beef baos. Since all the meats are halal, why not indulge in some of the best halal street food in London? If you find yourself window shopping at Harrods, this is most definitely one of the coolest cuisine options in Knightsbridge. Quick, delicious, and culturally refreshing.

Halal Food Near Harrods: Mamounia Lounge

I’ve mentioned Mamounia Lounge as one of the best Knightsbridge halal restaurants before. Here, we’re talking about fantastic Moroccan, Lebanese, and Middle Eastern food. The opening hours are very honest, first of all. To be fair, their mixed grill dishes rival those of Zelman Meats. It’s fine dining in Knightsbridge London… at its finest.

Indeed, Mamounia Lounge is one of the finest restaurants in Mayfair. Yet, when you’re walking around Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Chelsea coffee shops, or Paddington and you’re craving some homemade, heartwarming halal food – that’s definitely a place to visit.

Oh, and since the restaurant offers a fully halal menu, that’s also the place where you can get… fancy halal afternoon tea in Knightsbridge! We’re talking French pastries, British classics, and even the possibility to get a Middle Eastern afternoon tea.

It’s not even that expensive, with a Mayfair halal afternoon tea costing £29 per person and a Middle Eastern afternoon tea set at £20 pp. Ok, this is the price for a proper lunch or dinner in London, but since when isn’t afternoon tea a proper meal?

I’d just like to highlight that until further announcement from Mamounia Lounge, their halal afternoon tea is not available. Keep checking their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram so you know when afternoon tea will pick up again at this delish halal Lebanese restaurant.

Indian Halal Restaurants in Knightsbridge: Haandi

Now, let’s talk about one of the best Indian halal restaurants in Knightsbridge: Haandi. We’re talking about halal food near Harrods filled with curry flavors, with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes on the menu.

Haandi is a chain and the first of their restaurants opened in Nairobi in 1991. The London halal food scene had to wait until 2000 to see Haandi open near Harrods and Hyde Park. If you are a true high-end, traditional Indian food lover, that’s definitely a place to try.

Haandi serves amazing tandoor-cooked meats, with Chicken Makhini, lamb, and curry dishes all more delicious than what you ordered last time. I’d suggest going to visit some famous landmarks in London like the V&A and the Science Museum, only to round up the day with a meal at Haandi.

Just one of the best Knightsbridge halal restaurants, and you’d do well to treat yourself to their iconic dishes. When I say it’s one of the finest dining experiences you’ll get in London, I mean it. You’ve read that one right.

Best Halal Restaurants in Knightsbridge: Zheng Chelsea

I’ve mentioned Zheng Chelsea once as one of the best halal food places in London. Indeed it is, and if you’re walking around Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, or the National History Museum, you’ll love to end the day there. Or start the day there before browsing the Harrods racks, you know. Whatever you want.

Burger and Lobster

Just because we’re talking about halal restaurants in Knightsbridge doesn’t mean you absolutely have to eat meat, right? I felt that talking about the delicious lobster rolls from Burger & Lobster wouldn’t be a waste of space on The London Local. Even if their meat is not halal at all, you should definitely try their lobster.

If you’re looking for the best restaurants in Harvey Nichols or Harrods, that’s the place. It’s always super fun to crack open the natural shell of a lobster. You can get it grilled or steamed, so it’s even a healthy food option!

Since I’m such a lobster roll lover, I’d say – get the lobster roll with its tender and sweet brioche. You won’t repent, for real. As I said, you don’t necessarily have to have only halal meat options, right? Sometimes, you go to a delicious Knightbsbridge halal restaurant, and you end up eating fish. Why not, when you’ve got one of the best fish dishes options in London? And that’s very much okay.

Halal Burgers in London: The Kitchen of Knightsbridge

The last restaurant on my list of the best halal restaurants in Knightsbridge is The Kitchen of Knightsbridge. For this one, be sure to call beforehand to ensure that all meats are halal. Even if the restaurant is not fully HMC certified, it doesn’t hurt to get a second confirmation about halal status.

So there. If you’re looking for halal food near Harrods, and probably the best halal burgers in London, the Kitchen of Knightsbridge is a most scrumptious option. I like myself some huge burgers, decadent, with a sauce that drips down and melts with the meat’s juice. Oh, I am a burger phat-a**, for sure.

Halal wagyu burger, ribeye steak, and other delicious meat options are all present on the Kitchen of Knightsbridge menu. Zaatar and sweet potato fries, and even truffle fries are some of the amazing side options on their menu. I’m one of the biggest halal burgers in London lovers, and that just doesn’t go without the fries. The fries, friends, the fries. Can’t do without them.

Oh, and there are also some vegan burgers on the menu. You just have it all at The Kitchen of Knightsbridge. When you try their food, you’ll see – that’s the place for phat-a** food lovers like me.
