There are more and more halal fine dining restaurants in London, and one of the coolest ones for brunch is Drunch. With its two branches in Mayfair and on Regent’s Street, Drunch provides some fancy brunch specialties. It’s a family-run brand founded in 2013 by two Syrian relatives. The mission of Drunch London? The Terrace By L’Opera: Best Halal Brunch Knighstbridge

What’s the best dish on the halal menu of The Terrace by L’Opera? Couldn’t tell you of just one. If you’re looking for some really fine dining halal brunch in South Kensington or around Knightsbridge, that’s definitely a posh restaurant you need to visit. I love the area, full of really fancy buildings that make as much of an impact as the colorful streets in Notting Hill. There are many fancy halal restaurants in West London, and The Terrace by L’Opera is one of them.

French toast, decadent crushed avocado on sourdough toast (my favorite kind of savory toast), and English muffins all represent some treats you’ll find on the menu. All the pastries are freshly baked and hand-delivered every day by the in-house patisserie chefs. The menu is completely halal, so for the most chill halal brunch in London, mark down The Terrace by L’Opera. The Middle Eastern notes you’ll taste in some of the dishes will make you travel – word.

Grounded: Best Halal Brunch in London

If you’ve visited The London Local quite a few times already, for the best halal restaurants in East London for instance, you’ll have come across Grounded here. Also going by the name Grounded Coffee Company, the Whitechapel restaurant is the perfect spot for a brunch in East London. I’m a regular customer there, especially for their halal Full English breakfast. In my opinion, it’s one of the best in London because of the quality of each ingredient used in their simple yet impactful recipes.

Eggs on toast, granola bowls, and countless cakes are some of the elements you can find at Grounded. What’s cool is that the restaurant is located close to the Whitechapel Gallery (free to enter), and not too far from Spitalfields Market. If you’d like to get some cool makeup from MAC, Nars, or Benefit afterward, you’ll be just fifteen minutes on foot away. Enough to digest the best halal brunch in East London, I guess.

Best Halal Brunch in London: The Great Chase

The Great Chase offers some of the best halal fine dining experiences London could ever provide. That’s just it. From a halal Sunday Roast to delish afternoon tea, the British restaurant is entirely focused on traditional English cuisine. Great grilled cuts in the shape of Angus halal sirloin roast beef, blueberry parfait, macarons – elegant British cuisine. The upside is that The Great Chase is one of the specifically fine dining-oriented halal restaurants in London. Whatever you pick from their menu, you’re sure to love.

I always appreciate immensely restaurants that offer great London halal food even when the owners are not Muslim. That’s definitely the case with The Great Chase, who simply built the concept of the restaurant with an all-inclusive touch. Their selection of drinks is a dry bar only, as a finishing note to this overall excellent food dining experience in London. The Great Chase in Clerkenwell is currently reworking their Afternoon tea menu as well, great news for those hungry couples and families also looking for a halal afternoon tea in London.

Popina London cooks some of the most amazing halal brunch in Mayfair. I often look for the best halal restaurants in Central London and around Oxford Street, and they’re somewhat tricky to find among the countless halal fried chicken restaurants around. If you’re looking for delicious brunch dishes like granola and porridge, halal bacon, and grass-fed eggs, Popina has them all in-store. The great thing is that all the halal meat is cooked separately from the non-halal meat, so no cross-contamination.

Plus, the halal options are clearly marked on the menu, as well as the vegetarian and vegan dishes. As such, if you’d like some decadent toast topped with forest berries compote, sour cream, and maple syrup or vegan sandwiches filled with beetroot hummus, roasted veg, and kimchee – your cravings have been answered.

Of all the places for halal brunch in London, I feel like Popina is a place really engraved in the contemporary art of cooking. With their plant-based lattes and delish teas, that’s definitely the best halal brunch restaurant in Mayfair.

Guanabana is a halal restaurant in Camden that belongs to the same group which owns Bintang. I’ve talked about the Filipino sister restaurant before – I’ve been only once but boy, was it an amazing experience! Mamasons, the famous Filipino ice cream shop, is also part of the Maginhawa group. Since they’re all halal restaurants in Camden Town, it’s pretty easy to visit for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. They are no-frill, amazing halal restaurants that have one goal: to provide the freshest and most authentic, honest food. The vibes are Latin Caribbean, and the dishes all have influences from Jamaica, Colombia, and Mexico.

Blu Ivy Cafe: Best Halal Brunch in East London

Blu Ivy Cafe is one of the halal places in London where anyone can get their brunch fix. Mind you, it’s not fully halal, however, to make your experience more enjoyable, the team has clearly marked on their menu which items are halal, vegetarian, or vegan. It looks just as good as the super cute cafes in Chelsea and other instagrammable cafes in South Kensington I’ve written about some time ago. Colorful, bright, young, and lively.

If you like Instagrammable places in London, then Blu Ivy Cafe is your next destination. The colorful flowers disseminated onto every plate and creamy lattes are a true sight in London. You know how big I am on great food and amazing aesthetics, and Blu Ivy Cafe delivers.

As such, it does belong to this list of the best brunch places in London. While I was living in Mile End and Bethnal Green, I was always looking for a great halal breakfast and brunch. Yet, I never came across Blu Ivy Cafe back then, and I only discovered it when I lived near Seven Sisters.

Bake Street is one of the coolest halal cafes in London where to lose yourself in the choice of cake and drinks. There are some gluten free cake options that you can get if you’re allergic to gluten, and even vegan cakes and pastries. Basically, it’s one of the most chill coffee shops in London to read a book on a weekend morning or write down your daily goals. The vibe just really reminds me of all the cool coffee shops in Shoreditch I love to visit to work or just chill. You’ll understand me when you grab a bite there.

Lumi was born at the beginning of 2021 to illuminate the quirky streets of Camden and spark up new sensations in your stomach. The sweet pastries are made daily and belong on a Mediterranean-flavored menu. We’re not in the range of fine halal dining in London, but rather in a very eclectic, trendy vibe. Inside, the decoration is based on a cozy arrangement of heavy bricks. Super instagrammable.

The chicken and beef dishes are halal, and they’re also available a few nights a week when Lumi Camden opens for dinner too. The staple of brunch, delicious pancakes, also sit among the other delicious dishes that Lumi cooks for the ultimate brunch experience. That’s definitely a restaurant to pay a visit to with your partner or for a laidback Sunday morning catch-up with your besties.

The Mantl: Best Halal Brunch West London

The Mantl is one of the best halal places in London to get fine food under your teeth without wondering whether the menu is completely halal or if you’re going to have to choose between only a handful of options. I hate the frustration you feel when you have to handpick every dish – none of that with this Turkish restaurant in Knightsbridge. I’ve written about The Mantl before – it’s one of the best halal spots in London if you’re craving juicy grilled meat.

The breakfast menu is currently being refined, so you won’t be able to see it online. However, rest assured that there are also vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options on the menu. For a great halal brunch in London before going shopping in nearby Harrods, The Mantl might very well be the perfect Saturday spot.
