Halal Steak in London: 18 Best London Halal Steakhouses

Halal steak in London – the mere thought gives me the chills. We’re lucky to have plenty of amazing halal restaurants in Central London, innit, and that ranges from amazing halal burgers in Leicester Square to halal Indian food, and even some great places to eat halal sushi and dumplings. But finding the best places for halal steak London is not always easy to do. A few years back, eating at a fancy

halal steak house in London would have been almost impossible. Today, the halal food scene has upgraded its menus drastically – halal steak restaurants in London now offer food for absolutely every budget. Isn’t that amazing to go to a romantic halal restaurant in London with your other half and find the place actually offers some decadently juicy halal grilled meat? Right?

18 Top Halal Restaurants in London: Halal Steak in London

the meathouse london halal restaurants kings cross steakhouse

Halal steak in London. A thought that brings a smile to my mind, and more saliva in my mouth than I can decently describe. A lot of us, while in the city, are always looking for the best grilled meats and halal steaks in London. When you go out to a halal restaurant, the meat is what you want to prioritize, isn’t it?

Before we get started with the best steak restaurants in London, I’d like to state that I do not only eat halal food. I love going to fancy halal restaurants in London, and eating all kinds of halal burgers and everything. If I write about halal places to eat, it is because my younger sister is practicing and she is a foodie, just like me. While she lives in France, she comes to visit London quite often, and I’ve started this Halal Foods in London thread with her in mind.

Because it drives me crazy when we go to a restaurant, and all she gets to eat is fish or shrimp. Seabass is nice and dandy, but I want her to be free in her eating choices, innit. So even if I do not only eat halal foods, be sure that I’m paying attention to what restaurants I am choosing to tell you about here on The London Local, cross-contamination, and all. Love makes you do beautiful things, doesn’t it?

Halal foods in London

That’s why I will write about halal burger places in London later on, why I’ve told you about delicious halal pizza and pasta, and halal Malaysian food in London. But for now, a steak, folks. A halal steak, from a real halal steak restaurant. That’s more than a lot of cities around the world offer halal-eating peeps, right? And that’s why it’s important to enjoy those eateries through and through.

From the best halal wagyu beef in London to the coolest halal grill restaurant, I’m about to share the very best steak restaurants in London. Your fork should really pay attention to these, so take notes, because you’re going to love them!

The 18 Best Halal Steakhouses in London

Zelman Meats: Best Halal Restaurants in Knightsbridge

Photo: Zelman Meats

One of the very best halal steak restaurants in London is Zelman Meats. If you enjoy halal fine dining, that’s definitely going to be one of the restaurants you’ll keep going back to. The cuts are fine and delicate, with pieces that straight up melt in your mouth.

There are two Zelman Meats halal grill restaurants in London. One of these steak places is located in Soho, so if you’re looking for the best halal restaurants in Soho, that’s one of the best choices you can make. The other branch is simply one of the best halal restaurants in Knightsbridge. I know lots of you ask for the best halal places to eat around Mayfair and Knightsbridge, and well – with Zelman Meats’ halal food, you’re in for a definite treat.

Of course, no restaurant would offer a complete halal fine dining experience without amazing sides, and even the best halal desserts in London. And that’s where Zelman Meats ranks as one of the top food places – truffle chips, anyone?

What’s more enjoyable, aside from the high quality of this halal steak house in London, is the portions’ sizes. That means that with the amazing atmosphere and music, Zelman Meats is definitely one of the dress up restaurants in London you should visit ASAP.

Best Halal Steak London: Elvet Steakhouse

Well, Elvet Steakhouse London is a name that came up once as I was looking for the “best steak restaurant near me London”. I love just how we can now just type a few keywords and there are actually several halal restaurants around us, almost anywhere in London.

Still, one of the coolest places is an East London steak place: Elvet Steakhouse. Their main products are the premium halal argentine beef steaks – rib eye, sirloin, fillet cuts, and even halal wagyu beef London! If you’ve been looking for halal steakhouses in East London, those textures and flavor combinations are bound to keep you addicted.

A good halal steak in East London was not easy to find just a few years ago, and even now, you will hardly find such great quality juicy steaks and chicken burgers. Elvet Steakhouse even makes its own halal desserts!

All the food is certified halal, with 100% premium finest cuts. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, which makes Elvet Steakhouse one of the most romantic halal restaurants in London. By the way, if you’d like to know all about the best halal restaurants in East London, I’ve written a guide for you a while back that you might really enjoy (we’re talking breakfast, burgers…)!

The Meathouse London: Halal Steak Restaurant in Kings Cross

the meathouse london halal restaurants kings cross steakhouse steak best london angel central
Photo: VenueTours

The Meathouse London is one of the best halal restaurants in King’s Cross, no second guessing this. If you’re looking for the best halal steakhouse in London, but also amazing halal burger places, well… you know what I’m about to say.

Enjoying halal steak in London is one of the coolest dining experiences you can have, but when you don’t have to go all the way up to North London or to East London, it’s even more appreciated. The freshest ingredients, fine work on the produce, and juicy halal steaks – what more could you want from the best halal grill restaurants in London? That’s why we’re talking about Meathouse London today – because they’re exceptional from the meat quality to their service.

By the way, if you’ve also been looking to round up an amazing meal with the best halal desserts in London, you’re going to be very happy. There are not many steak restaurants that cook halal steaks to perfection – let’s not forget that there’s less blood in the meat, and cooking it rare or medium-rare perfectly is a real skill. It’s not halal fine dining, but honestly, it could be.

Steakout: Best Halal Steak Restaurant in London

The most-recognized casual halal steak dining restaurant in the UK – that’s where we start with Steakout. The best halal steakhouse in London should be able to work the finest pieces of lamb, beef, and chicken to perfection. In terms of flavor, tenderness, and spices, Steakout London sets the bar pretty high. Located in Tooting, Steakout has been around for years, and over time, it has become one of the best halal restaurants in London for lots of locals.

Some of the best halal meat pieces include the rump, sirloin, halal T-bone, filet mignon, ribeye, lamb, and so many more amazing halal steaks in London that it’s hard to keep track of. If you’re a sauce lover, you’re in for a treat here too. I know I am, and that’s why I love Malay food and Japanese Chicken Katsu so much.

When I search for the “best halal steak near me”, I’m not just here for the meat, if I need to be honest. I also want sauces and side dishes that will make me salivate before I even dive into my plate. One of the most famous recipes from the Steakout London halal restaurant includes spicy braai, with fried onions and a selection of delish sauces to choose from.

HS&Co.: Halal Grill Restaurant London

HS&Co. Halal Steakhouse in Stratford is one of the best halal steakhouses you can eat at while in London. Whether you’re visiting or living in the city, there’s an ambiance that’s really only HS&Co. No other halal grill restaurant in London is the same, with a dark, wooden, and rustic charm to it.

In this steak house, there are some amazing alcohol-free cocktails that you’ll just want to order two of – you’ve been warned. Brisket, fillet, sirloin, and even amazing halal burgers in East London – that’s what you’re in for with HS&Co.

The restaurant describes itself as “East End’s largest steak restaurant”, with steaks cooked on the famous Josper Grill, which gives a particular flavor to the halal grilled meat. An East London steak can never look as good as the sirloin from HS&Co. does, if you want my opinion.

Le Madison: Halal Steak Restaurant in East London

If you’re looking for top-notch halal restaurants in East London but don’t want to go all the way to Canary Wharf, I’ve got something for you. Especially if a juicy steak has been on your mind for longer than you wanted it to, then Whitechapel is your next destination. Le Madison Steakhouse cooks some of the best halal steaks you’ll taste in the East. I personally love East London and think there are plenty of things to do in Brick Lane, Shoreditch, and Bethnal Green. You could definitely have a visit at some cool art galleries, and end the day with a great halal steak at Le Madison.

The halal grill restaurant offers a “classy dining experience serving an American menu” with both the best halal steaks and fine lobster on the menu. Lobster, friends. Fresh lobster from Canada. Le Madison is one of those restaurants that make you feel special as soon as you step into the restaurant.

Fresh produce, provenance, quality, and simple recipes that emphasize the fresh taste of the amazing products – that’s what this halal steakhouse in East London is all about. One of the top halal restaurants in London – no doubt.

Halal Steak London: Mr White’s English Chophouse

Halal steak London in Whitechapel – another fine dining address that you’ll want to mark down and try ASAP. I love tenderness in my steaks, and I love amazing sauces as well. I don’t eat red meat all that often, and the sauce really is a big deal for me. When I actually go out to a halal steak restaurant in London, I want my full experience to be perfect. I like the fact that Mr. White’s English Chophouse has this friendly and top-notch atmosphere, and perfect, tasty steaks.

I mean, who doesn’t want to eat the best halal steak? We splurge, and we want the finest food – and that’s where Mr. White’s English Chophouse comes into play. One of their best-selling dishes is the 35-day aged, grass-fed steaks. I don’t know about you, but I can recognize when a halal steak is of fine quality. That’s why I am a sucker for Mr. White’s English Chophouse steaks. On the halal menu, you can both find steak and amazing authentic halal pizza dishes.

Weirdly enough, one of the best things you can eat in this halal steak restaurant is the dessert range. They’re properly English, like the Sticky Toffee Pudding, one of my favorite ever British desserts. However, Mr. White’s English Chophouse also makes a crazy good cheesecake that I would recommend to anyone who’s looking for a halal restaurant in London where desserts are also a priority on the menu.

Best Halal Steak London: Fredo’s Steakhouse

The top halal restaurants in London are not always those you think would be. And well, I’d never heard of Fredo’s halal steakhouse as much as I had Meathouse, for instance. Still, oooh. Fredo’s halal steak restaurant London is delish, delish, delish.

There’s much more than just halal beef in Fredo’s. There are amazing lamb steaks, great halal burgers, and chicken that you never knew could taste that good. I feel like it’s one of those halal grill restaurants in London where not only the food but also the service are absolutely top-notch.

It’s not enough to just have halal food – when I splurge and dress up, I want the whole dining experience to be second to none. If you’re looking for a halal restaurant in North London, you’ll want to go to Fredo’s, and you’ll probably even message me thank you after.

Urban Braai London

Photo: Tripadvisor

If you’re looking for an excellent halal steak East London, you’ll love Urban Braai. A diverse South African halal steak menu in London, that’s what Urban Braai has worked and keeps refining day after day. The goal is to keep their standards high, the halal grilled meats delicious, and the eating experience at the top.

Brick Lane is one of the liveliest and coolest areas in East London, and I love hanging out there. The fact is that you can also find the best halal breakfast in London there with the Grounded Coffee Company. As such, if you’re taking a stroll at the Brick Lane market during the weekend and happen to type “halal steaks near me East London” on your phone, you’ll definitely come across Urban Braai.

There’s something about the atmosphere of this halal restaurant that makes you feel alive. You just want to bite more and more into the tender steaks and keep engulfing more and more of their thick sauces. There’s something quite family-like in this invigorating dining experience that Urban Braai offers, and that’s definitely one of the best halal restaurants in East London.

The Great Chase

The Great Chase is one of the fancy halal restaurants in London I’ve always admired. Because it’s a fully halal menu and alcohol-free restaurant, offered with the sole purpose of being all-inclusive. Okay, it’s not only a halal steak restaurant, but on their high end British fine dining menu, there are some grilled meats that are worth stopping by.

Here’s what The Great Chase says about their all-halal menu:

Why not? Islam is the largest minority religion in the UK, and Halal (which simply means permissible), is accessible to everyone. Why wouldn’t we want to serve up an amazing dining experience that is accessible to all? Halal makes us inclusive.”

I’ve already mentioned The Great Chase in my guide to the best classy halal restaurants in London. I’d go even further, stating it’s one of the most romantic halal restaurants in the city, with an atmosphere and halal foods that go hand in hand in elevating any first date.

Unlike many spots for a halal buffet in London, The Great Chase focuses on select dishes, and they have two options for steak on the menu. Is this the best London steak spot? Think so. Along with a 35 day dry-aged Angus sirloin steak and a 35-day dry-aged Angus ribeye, you can get the best fries in London, glazed carrots, and creamy mash unlike any other in London.

The dinner set menu is priced at £39, which makes it one of the most affordable halal restaurants with a fine dining experience in London. Ah, and for dessert, you can choose from quite a few delicious delicacies, like a Chocolate and Mint fondant, or a Raspberry crumble. So if you’re looking for a good halal steak house in London, although The Great Chase isn’t totally about steak and grilled meat, it’s still an address to look out for. Because that might very well be the best steak in Central London, right in the heart of Islington.

Angus Steakhouse

How could I be writing about good steakhouses in London and leave out Angus Steakhouse? That would be off-topic for sure. Whenever I’m looking for new addresses to the best steak restaurants in London, Angus Steakhouse in Central London always comes up. There’s a reason for that.

With its locations in Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Oxford Circus, Bond Street, and Paddington in West London, Angus Steakhouse is a blast. More affordable than fancy Elvet Steakhouse, Angus Steakhouse has a full menu on which you can find the best halal steak in London. The 1968-established Angus Steakhouse offers a premium, separate halal menu.

That’s a place where you can find halal sirloin steak, with a strong and meaty flavor that you can couple with garlic mushrooms, tapenade, mashed potatoes, or jasmine rice. All up to you to make the most of your evening in one of the best meat restaurants in London. I’d also tell you not to miss out on their delicious desserts, notably their strawberry cheesecake, all creamy and fresh, just as I like them.

Angus Steakhouse might not be a fully halal restaurant in Central London. However, the fact that they offer a separate halal menu is always much appreciated. If you’re sightseeing in London around Piccadilly Circus or, you know, checking out famous statues in Leicester Square, stop by Angus Steakhouse. Delicious halal steaks in Central London, and you just can’t make it more central than that.

Best Halal Steak in London: Guanabana

When you think of good steakhouses in London, you could be thinking of elevated dining like you can get at The Great Chase or Elvet Steakhouse. Yes, but what about a Brazilian steakhouse, or a Latin steakhouse? Guanabana, which I mentioned as one of the best halal brunch spots in London, is it. A Latin Caribbean steak restaurant that offers much more than just grill and meats. Although their Jerk Steak, all saucy and delish, is something you should definitely try.

No gold steak here like you could find at NusrEt, only the best halal food in London for a relaxed experience. Guanabana, located on Kentish Town Road like sister restaurant Bintang, and halal bakery Panadera Bakery, is fully halal. That means that if you’re looking for a halal Sunday Roast in London, that’s where you should go too.

Halal ribeye Black Angus and beef chops are other options available in this amazing steak restaurant. It’s a BYOB restaurant, though, so up to you to choose whether it’s important to you to go to an alcohol-free restaurant in London.

Make it a day in Camden Town, visiting the best charity shops in North London and sightseeing. For lunch, a relaxed moment eating one of the best steaks in London. And then, off you go again, maybe to pay a visit to the secret Kyoto Garden in Holland Park.

The Banc

Ah, The Banc – one of the very fancy halal restaurants in London. If you’re ever looking for gourmet halal burgers, that’s the place. Located in North London, The Banc has garnered a sophisticated reputation from the get-go. And that’s a restaurant that truly believes in sourcing fresh and local produce, from the British halal meats to delicious glazed brioche buns for their burgers.

Since halal Wagyu beef is the one used in their burgers, they get juicy, tasty, and just dreamy all around. If you’d like to take your other half for a romantic date in London, The Banc is it, big on flavor, with seasonings and marinades, unlike anything you’ll ever find in London. If someone is vegan at the party, The Banc also offers quite a few vegan options on the menu.

the banc halal steak menu

But we’re here to talk about the best halal steak restaurants in London, so here you go. The Banc has partnered with halal farmhouse butchers for more than 10 years now, so the halal Gold Sirloin and Rib-eye steaks are respectful of halal rules, 21-day matured, with chives or mushroom and peppercorn gravy. I’m always of the opinion that the sauce does a lot in a dish, and The Banc knows their gravy through and through.

That’s not all. If you’d like to make your evening a bit more elevated, there are also delicious halal lamb fillets and lamb chops on the menu. Everything to make your date exclusive. There is a dress code for visiting The Banc, so you’re going to want to dress up. After all, you’re looking for a fine dining experience, so dressing up will make the evening that much more special. Fancy halal restaurants in North London can’t possibly get better than this, now can they?

Cally Munchy

Now if you’d like to find good steakhouses in London, but are rather looking for street food options, Cally Munchy is your next destination. Why? Because halal African food is delicious, first reason. Second, their Suya steak, Nyiaragongo sauce, and African rice and beans base is a blend that you’ve never seen before. And will probably never see it anywhere else.

There are a few Cally Munchy halal street food stands all around London. Shoreditch, Dalston, and Hackney are the would-be most popular. However, if you’re looking for halal steak places in London around Canary Wharf or King’s Cross, they’re also present at the famous Kerb street food markets. You might remember Kerb Camden Town, which has a lot of the best halal street food in London. Well, that’s the same, but in different London locations.

The 2015-founded halal African restaurant is one of the best around if you’re looking to have a relaxed first date. Careful though, African sauces are spicy. This doesn’t take anything away from Cally Munchy offering the best steak in Canary Wharf, Dalston, King’s Cross, and probably the whole of London for a lowkey experience. Too underrated on the halal London scene, folks.

Best Halal Steak House in London: My Shish Walthamstow

Now, MyShish in Walthamstow is an HMC restaurant in East London that, like Cally Munchy, is way too underrated for my liking. Completely halal, with an alcohol-free bar, MyShish is one of the places to eat in London that’s going to blow you off your socks. The mocktails are delicious, for starters, and will leave you envious of your neighbor’s drink, even if yours is unbelievable.

You’re looking for good steakhouses in London, aren’t you? Prepare to be blown away by the menu at MyShish, because there are more options than is easy to choose between. One of the best meat restaurants in London, MyShish has an offer that ranges from sliced halal fillet mignon steak to Tomahawk steak (600 to 700 grams of pure halal meat, cooked over charcoal!), T-bone steak, and of course, halal ribeye steak. How do we even choose between all those amazing options? That’s too much for my little heart.

myshish halal steak house in london

I love finding halal foods in London, you know me. I hate having to choose the best things on the menu, as most of you, I suppose. Especially if you tell me that I’m dining at one of the best halal steak places in London! To add insult to injury (is this even a right way to put words on MyShish?), halal lamb is also present on the menu. Slow-cooked, too. A lamb fillet steak, slow-cooked lamb shoulder, and a lamb shank that you’ve never seen on a table before.

If you’re looking for the best halal restaurants in Central London, I’d still definitely suggest you take the Tube and visit Walthamstow. There, you’ll eat the best steak you’ve ever eaten in your whole life, and that’s a fact. I should definitely stop writing “that’s a fact” everywhere, and that’s a fact.

Steak on the Green

Now, for fancy halal restaurants in London with a strong steak offer, we’ve got Steak On The Green. Much of an underdog on the halal food London scene, I’d say. A European and British restaurant located in West London, and a menu that’s deliciously affordable if you’re looking for a high end halal restaurant in Ealing. Granted, Steak On The Green is not a halal restaurant to start with. But there’s a separate halal menu on which you’ll find more halal steaks than will be easy to choose from.

Let’s start with how they have halal Wagyu steaks, and you’ll understand why I love Steak on The Green so much. Halal sirloin and ribeye are available in different sizes, and you can choose from a variety of sauces to dress them. Truffle bearnaise would be a go-to, but there are other exquisite choices, from blue cheese to a BBQ sauce made in-house, and delicious peppercorn gravy.

If you think it’s difficult to choose your steak, wait till you see the starters! There are not many halal Argentinian restaurants in London, innit. So being able to order Argentinian beef empanadas is appreciated. Otherwise, you can get crispy fried calamari, tuna tartare, and even some caviar, if you’re feeling adventurous and sophisticated. After all, you’re not only going to get the best halal steak in London – you’re going for a full halal fine dining moment.

Best Halal Steak in London: Novikov

I’ve mentioned Novikov here on The London Local quite a few times already. Namely, it’s one of the best places to eat in London if you’re looking for a high end, halal fine dining spot. Novikov in West London has this little quirk; it’s two restaurants in one. One halal Italian restaurant, where most of the meats are halal, and one fully halal Asian restaurant. And we’re going to be talking about the Pan-Asian restaurant now, because, believe it or not, it is one of the best halal steak restaurants in London. Even if they probably didn’t mean to.

So I talked about halal dumplings and sushi some time ago here. Novikov cooks up some delicious sushi, a finer quality than most halal all you can eat restaurants in London. After all, with a location as prestigious as Mayfair, that’s what you would expect. The prices follow, obviously, since you’re at one of the very fancy halal restaurants in London

Halal steak at Novikov London

So, you can get delicious lamb cutlets along with halal Chilean Wagyu fillet and sirloin at Novikov. They also offer a “fillet of the day” prepped with various sauces, and the soya, butter, and garlic sauce, hmm – delish. That’s all when it comes to steak and grilled meat, but I think you’re really going to want to try them at Novikov.

If you’re looking for halal duck in London, the Pan-Asian restaurant has on the menu halal roast duck and Peking Duck with pancakes. You probably don’t know that, because we’ve never been dining out together, but halal duck, pancakes, and the usual cucumber and Asian sauces are some of my favorite dishes in the whole wide world. So that’s something to keep on the side, for when you’re craving halal duck in London.

Best Halal Steak London: Toro’s Steakhouse

Lovers of really really good steakhouses in London, you’re going to love Toro’s Steakhouse. Located in zone 4 in Harrow, I promise it’s worth every minute of the journey you’ll be on when traveling to Toro’s Steakhouse. Founded in 2008, the halal steakhouse has always been about bringing premium halal steak to Londoners. There’s not only one Toro’s Steakhouse in the world, actually – the first steakhouse of the name was born in Leicester.

And now, to be quite frank, even if it’s not the best halal restaurant in Central London, it’s the best halal steak in London, period. Why? Because follow me there. 48-day dry-aged beef? Halal sirloin, ribeye, and Tomahawk steak? Not only that, but this top halal grill restaurant in London also offers halal rump steak, T-bone, lamb steak, and even halloumi sizzler for the vegans among us. That way, it becomes all-inclusive, and if you need vegan options, there are quite a few on Toro’s Steakhouse menu.

Easily one of the best halal meat restaurants in London, highly recommended and just delicious. Especially if you like grilled seabass as much as I do. Which is in no way meat, but it’s still worth noting that the Toro’s Steakhouse is cooking it to perfection.
