18 Romantic Halal Restaurants in London With A View – Rooftops & River

Is there something more romantic than taking your other half to one of the best halal restaurants in London with a view? I don’t think so. To be very honest, I love all kinds of restaurants. It doesn’t really matter to me whether I go to one of the posh halal restaurants in Mayfair or one of the family-like halal joints in East London. I just want to taste great food and bathe in an atmosphere. And of course, having lunch in London with a view of Canary Wharf or high up in restaurants overlooking Tower Bridge helps immensely.

Halal Michelin star restaurants, halal fine dining, or the best spots in Leicester Square – when I dine out, I don’t really care about the price point. I just want to book at one of the fanciest London restaurants with a view of the river. However, when you’re looking for cheap restaurants with a view in London, it gets trickier, from a halal food point of view.

HALAL FINE DINING IN LONDON WITH A VIEW

More and more non-halal restaurants in London offer the possibility to preorder halal meat; lamb, chicken, beef, and even duck in some restaurants! I’ve chosen to show you some of the most romantic halal restaurants with a view of London today.

I know that halal fine dining is something lots of you love to experience, and why shouldn’t you? Especially when it’s with your beloved ones with the best restaurants with a view of London, one of the most magical cities in the world. I, for one, am always looking for the best halal restaurants near me. Great things in life are meant to be enjoyed fully, with your partner, family, friends, but solo also always seals the deal for me.

It’s no secret that London is full of fancy halal restaurants. All you need to do is take the Tube to East London, Mayfair, Knightsbridge, and you’ll come across amazing halal fine dining restaurants in London. Since the city is very much built upwards, there are plenty of London restaurants with a view. When it comes to halal food, however, it’s another story. Most of the restaurants focus on a mainly non-halal menu.

Luckily, some of the best restaurants in London with a view often offer to preorder halal meat a few days in advance. Most of the restaurants with views of London I’ll mention today offer to preorder halal meat, or already offer halal meats on their menu. At the end of this guide, I’ve also included two or three spots that may not offer halal food in London. Still, they have plenty of vegan options and seafood dishes. Plus, their views of London are so mouthwatering that I didn’t want to prevent you from enjoying them, high up above Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf.

Having to preorder halal meat in London is not the most convenient way to eat out, to be fair. Yet, for now, those are the options we have to enjoy the city from the heights and the rooftops of Canary Wharf, The Shard, or Selfridges. And that’s darn amazing to be able to dine at the best view restaurants in London.

So! If you’re ready to discover the best restaurants in London with a view and halal options, let’s dive in! When you’re done reading, you should have found at least a few halal restaurants you’ll want to visit asap!

Chai Ki: Halal Restaurant With View on Canary Wharf

Usually, when I write “halal restaurant with view London” on Google Maps, what I’m looking for is a view of the river Thames. But wait a minute – what about the amazing view on Canary Wharf? It’s actually one of my favorite areas in London, and having dinner at a romantic halal restaurant with a view of Canary Wharf has got to be one of the coolest things to do in London.

I’ve written about Chai Ki before, as I believe it’s one of the finest Indian halal restaurants in London. I think a view on the Canary Wharf skyscrapers equals dinner at The Shard any day. The lights of the city make me feel like I’m in Manhattan every time I’m there – a dream. If you’re dreaming of fine dining masala and biryani, Chai Ki is definitely one of the halal Indian restaurants with the best views in London.

Tarshish: Fancy Halal Restaurants in London With a View

Tarshish is one of those restaurants in London with a view that is quite a hidden gem in the city. Located up North, it offers some of the best Turkish and Mediterranean food in London you’ll ever taste. The prices are a tad more on the higher side, however, it’s normal if you’re looking for halal restaurants with a view in London, isn’t it?

Basically, when you dine at Tarshish, you have the feeling of being in Central London, but all the fun happens just off Turnpike Lane station. If you like to discover great restaurants that offer a high end fine dining experience and out-of-this-world halal grilled meats, that’s the place you want to try next.

Radio Rooftop: Halal Restaurants in London With a View

When it comes to the best London restaurants with a view, I can’t wrap my head around the fact that Radio Rooftop is mentioned so little. Especially when their chicken is halal! The halal status of the chicken has been confirmed by the owner, and I would recommend calling up when you book to know whether you can preorder other meats as well, such as lamb or beef.

We’re somewhat onto something very different than, say, restaurants in the Shard, and Radio Rooftop still belongs to the best view restaurants in London. I’d even go further by saying that you’ve never seen the London view as you’ll see it at Radio Rooftop. When you’re high up on this Strand skyscraper, you’ll be able to enjoy the sunset falling down on St Paul’s, Big Ben, The Shard, and the London Eye.

It’s a whole ‘nother experience of laidback fine dining happening at Radio Rooftop. Mains, sides, and entrees all have plenty of non-meat options if you’d rather eat vegetarian or vegan dishes. All in all, one of the best relaxed halal fine dining in London with a view of the river. And way too underrated.

Ting at The Shard: Fancy Halal Restaurants in London With A View

Photo: The Shard

I worked at Oblix at The Shard as a receptionist for quite a few months. There, the experience was upbeat, fast-paced, and amazing. Just what you would expect from restaurants at The Shard. I won’t mention the Oblix menu in this guide to the best halal restaurants with a view of London, because the grilled meat menu there is not halal. They do have plenty of seafood and fish options that would make you cry while you’re relishing the view overlooking Tower Bridge, though.

Yet, Oblix is not the only one of the restaurants at The Shard that offers absolutely amazing food. Ting at The Shard, notably, is famous for its exquisite fine dining Chinese food. It’s not a completely halal restaurant with the best view in London, but Ting does offer to preorder halal chicken and lamb only 24 hours in advance. And that’s what we love to hear when we want to go full-blown halal fine dining and don’t need to wait three weeks to have a fancy lunch in London with a view.

Quartier at Moorgate: Best Halal Restaurants With A View London

I know that if you’ve come here to The London Local today, it’s because you were most probably looking for London restaurants with a view on the river. That would mostly make me tell you about halal restaurants in Canary Wharf or Tower Bridge, but I do want to include other places that you might not have thought of. After all, we’re looking for a classy halal dining experience, are we not?

Now, there are plenty of halal restaurants in London with a view, but Quartier is definitely different. Since it’s located in Moorgate, one of the business areas in London, Quartier is perfect if you need to host private dining or corporate events. I personally think it’s sophisticated enough for very important occasions like an anniversary or a proposal, but a business meeting will do. You can preorder halal meat when you book at Quartier. Plus, there are also vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, should you wish to broaden your possibilities.

Jean Georges at The Connaught Hotel

Now, The Connaught is known to host some really posh restaurants. And if you’re looking for halal fine dining in London, what could be better than Jean Georges? The worldwide famous restaurant is one of the best restaurants with a view of London. And it offers select halal meats. The all-day menu is particularly appealing, with countless vegetarian and vegan options for those of us who don’t always feel like eating meat. Gluten-free and dairy-free menus are available. For halal meat, I would recommend calling beforehand, as usual. I mean, you never know if and when restaurants update their halal status.

Halal Restaurants in London With A View: Jean Georges Menu

Although beef fillet steak and lamb chops are both halal in this posh Mayfair restaurant, maybe you’d like to try something else at Jean Georges. Pappardelle and mushroom ragu, grilled octopus decorated with smoked paprika, sashimi scallops… If you’re looking for the best fish and chips in London, the elevated Jean Georges version might be what your heart sets on.

Even if it’s not one of the fully classy halal restaurants in London, the view on Mayfair makes for a very delicate moment. You will be able to enjoy a romantic lunch or dinner here with your other half. If you’ve been looking for a halal afternoon tea in London, guess what I’m about to say? Jean Georges all the way. It might not be one of the London restaurants with a view of the river, but the view of the surrounding posh Mayfair neighborhood definitely is it. Halal meat is to be preordered 48 hours in advance.

Aubaine at Selfridges

What if I told you one of the restaurants with the best views in London already offers halal elements on their menu? Plus, it’s such an unexpected one: Aubaine at Selfridges has on its menu only halal chicken, beef, and lamb. It’s one of the most instagrammable restaurants in London, if I dare say so. I’ve never seen an interior that flowery and romantic. And we know how much I love Instagrammable places in London, from colorful houses in Notting Hill to cute bakeries and pastry shops.

It might not be one of the halal restaurants in London with a view of the river as you’d expect when looking for such places. Yet, their French cuisine, their exquisite afternoon tea, and their view of London are life. Plus, you’re in Central London, so you can do some really fun things right after lunch at Aubaine. That would include visiting the famous landmarks in London, or having a walk in the super instagrammable Kyoto Garden

Halal Restaurants in London With a View: Kilikya’s Gastro

Kilikya’s Gastro definitely is one of the best-kept secret London restaurants with a view of the river. Located in Katharine’s Dock near Tower Hill, it features an all-halal menu based on Turkish cuisine. Traditional mezze, halal food with a twist in one of the nice view restaurants in London? Yes, please!

Kilikya’s Gastro is all about healthy and innovative dishes. Not only is Kilikya one of the best halal places to eat in London, but it’s all-inclusive too. If you need catering to a vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free diet, you will be well-cared-for there. Try the hot mezze sharing platter, the shish kebab, or the halloumi salad – those are three customer favorites in this fancy halal fine dining restaurant in London. Just off Tower Bridge Road, facing the Tower of London, the Turkish spot has high standards when it comes to both the decoration and the quality of their food.

In addition to halal meats, this posh halal restaurant features countless seafood dishes. Sea bass, fried whitebait, smoked aubergines; they’re all on the menu. If you’ve been looking for the best halal steak in London, their chicken and lamb steaks are something to try. No need to go to Mayfair to experience the best halal fine dining moment – it’s available right there, in Central London

Plateau Canada Water: Halal Restaurants in London With a View of Canary Wharf

Not long ago, I’ve written about the best halal restaurants in Canary Wharf. I absolutely love Canary Wharf, and the New York kind of feel the skyscrapers give you. They give you a feeling of potency and freedom that you just can’t find in some other restaurants in London. Canada Water and Canary Wharf feature some of the best London restaurants with a view. Unfortunately, not that many offer halal food. And that’s where Plateau comes into play, with a delicious menu filled with options for Muslim patrons. Even if you want to eat vegetarian or vegan, you’ll have plenty of dishes to relish at Plateau.

Plateau in Canada Water offers some of the freshest fish in London, and honestly, who needs fancy halal steak when you have a fish menu this decadent? With very reasonably-priced set menus for lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday, Plateau makes for the go-to fine dining restaurant for a romantic date. If you’d like halal options, you can book and preorder halal lamb, beef, and chicken 72 hours in advance. Best believe you’ll have the experience of a lifetime at this top-of-the-range London restaurant with a view of the river.

Coco Grill and Lounge: Halal Restaurants in London With a View on Tower Bridge

I’ve already mentioned Coco Restaurant in my list of romantic restaurants in London for a first date. Coco Grill and Lounge not only doubles as one of the best halal restaurants with views of London, but as one of the only places for Anatolian cuisine in London. And the fact that it allows for an incredible lunch in London with a view just makes me salivate as I’m writing

We’re talking about halal fine dining with seasonal dishes and produce sourced locally, in the UK. Halal-certified meats infused with delicate spices and herbs – that makes for the ultimate dining experience in London. If you happen to visit Coco Grill and Lounge with someone who doesn’t eat meat, there are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. Creamy hummus, glazed cauliflower, black cod, and for the meats eaters… Decadent lamb shank and possibly the best halal burgers in London

If you’re ready to educate your palate to delicious Anatolian cuisine, then Coco Grill and Lounge is one of the best halal restaurants near London Bridge with a view of the river. Each plate leaves the kitchen in perfect condition, and your eyes will water with expectation before you take your first bites. That’s how delicious this Central London restaurant‘s halal food is. Do I dare say it might even be tastier than the dishes at some of The Shard restaurants? Oh. I dare.

Galvin at Windows Mayfair: Best Halal Restaurants in London With A View

Ah, Park Lane. Home to some of the best restaurants in Central London, isn’t it? That’s an area I love to have walks in, what with Hyde Park being so close. One of the most famous restaurants in London, Galvin has quite a few branches around London. Although the Galvin Lachapelle Michelin star restaurant offers the possibility to preorder halal meat, Galvin at Windows in Mayfair is not halal. That’s where you’ll want to prep for a vegetarian meal, and I promise you won’t even miss the meat. I would also recommend calling beforehand to see if you can preorder halal chicken, as it used to be possible up to five days in advance.

Still, if you really want to dive deep into the London restaurants with the best view of the city, Galvin at Windows is definitely your next destination. Located on the 28th floor of the London Hilton hotel, on Park Lane, it brings together all the elements of sophistication. French cuisine is quite easy to come by in London, but I know that when it’s prepped and pampered around West London, it boasts something even more elegant and, well… French.

Gaucho: Best Halal Steak in London With A View

I’ve already mentioned Gaucho as one of the best restaurants in London for grilled meats. If you’d like to get a fancy halal steak in London, all you need to do is preorder 48 hours in advance. Notably, Gaucho provides halal sirloin steak in all their restaurants. And they’re some of the best steaks you’ll ever eat in the city, with a view on Tower Bridge. I’ve written about the best things to do in London Bridge. S,o you can start with a fulfilling lunch at Gaucho, and finish with some amazing art exhibitions and shopping for the perfect London day.

I think Gaucho is one of the best restaurants in London with a view of Tower Bridge. Actually, it might be one of the closest to Tower Bridge, so there’s that. You can basically do some London sightseeing while you’re enjoying the posh food straight in the heart of London.

Halal restaurants in London with a View: Aviary Rooftop

Let’s get this out of the way: the Aviary Rooftop restaurant is not a fully halal restaurant. However, since it offers plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, I’ll still mention it with the other restaurants with views of London. Why not, after all, when you can enjoy absolutely delicious food there without even feeling the need for meat?

Aviary mentions on their website that the chicken is halal, however, some sauces may contain alcohol. As such, make sure to call when booking. That way, you can speak to someone competent who can advise you with the most appropriate dishes.

Located in the Montcalm hotel, Aviary requires a casual elegant dress code. That already sets the tone for a romantic date with your partner. Eating premium oysters, crispy romanesco cauliflower, salmon and prawn fishcake, and all kinds of other delicious vegetarian and plant-based dishes… It’s just as I said: you won’t miss the meat.

Darwin Brasserie at Sky Garden

If you’ve always wanted to go up the Sky Garden, well, you can even get some amazing halal food there. Just go to Darwin Brasserie, high up at level 36 of the famous Walkie Talkie building. It’s simply one of the best restaurants in London with a view, and when you get there, you’ll understand me. The restaurant needs a 72-hour notice to provide halal chicken. I’d suggest you call beforehand to know whether the halal status has changed. Or if they have included new halal meats in the menu.

At Sky Garden, there’s also another restaurant that offers the possibility to preorder halal meat, Fenchurch. I’ll be talking about it lower in this guide, so keep reading. Indeed, that’s definitely one of the best restaurants in London with a view of the city.

Winter Garden at the Landmark Hotel

Marylebone is definitely not the first spot I’d look at to find a restaurant with a cool view of London. And yet, Winter Garden at the Landmark Hotel, with its fine dining European cuisine, offers some of the purest views. I love restaurants that are more than just restaurants – fine dining or not.

If you’d like to preorder halal meat, you’ll have to do so 48 hours in advance. And with Winter Garden, you’re basically traveling with your eyes and your stomach. Just how many restaurants in London offer halal food with palm tree decor? Right. So, this one might not be one of the London restaurants with a view of the kind that you were expecting. But if you tell me you can’t have the most romantic dinner date here, I can’t believe it. Because palm trees, guys. Palm trees.

Madera Treehouse Hotel: Best London Restaurants With A View

If you’re looking for an unexpected restaurant with a view of London, maybe you should look at Madera at Treehouse London. Nestled in the heart of a fancy hotel, Madera focuses on twisted, modern Mexican cuisine. Whether you’re feeling fancy breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner, you’ll find something you want there. The chicken there is halal. Yet, as usual, when there are only one or two halal elements on the menu, do call beforehand. That way, you ensure you get what you want once you’ve booked.

The Madera restaurant at the Treehouse Hotel is located near Oxford Circus. As such, it makes for a definitive high end experience when you’re in Central London. You can either start with a weekend brunch there and go do some cool charity shopping in London or round up the day beautifully with a fancy dinner at Madera. Your call.

Fenchurch at Sky Garden: Halal Restaurants in London with a View

fenchurch at sky garden best romantic halal restaurants with a view london
Photo: The Week

Fenchurch in Sky Garden is the second halal restaurant with a view of London located in the famous Walkie Talkie building. We’re talking about posh halal fine dining where even the most insignificant dish is elevated to a sophisticated British level. At Fenchurch, you can preorder halal chicken and lamb 72 hours in advance. They also serve many dishes that won’t even make you miss the meat.

Their 3-course set menu is very reasonably priced at £42.5 pp. With it, you’ll be able to enjoy delicious cod bavarois, sea bream and mussels, and mouthwatering chocolate delice as a dessert. Should you wish to go fully veggie style, the terrace restaurant Fenchurch also offers completely vegan options on their menus.

Located one floor above the Darwin Brasserie I’ve mentioned higher up in this guide, Fenchurch at Sky Garden is one of the best restaurants with a view in London. Plus, it looks a bit like a jungle inside, with lots of plants and greenery that make you feel almost at home. Definitely worth the wait, and one of the ultimate posh halal places to eat in London.

Alto by San Carlo

Alto by San Carlo is one of the best London restaurants with a view if you’re around Oxford Street. Perched high up at the top of Selfridges, this authentic Italian restaurant offers plenty of vegan and fish options that will make your mouth water. Even if you were looking for Italian halal restaurants in Central London, the number of dishes available to non-meat eaters is incredible. I mean, who can do better than 22 seafood dishes, and pretend to be one of the best view restaurants in London at the same time? I’ll tell you who: Alto by San Carlo.

The fresh taste of the antipasti rivals only the deliciousness of the daily made desserts at this Central London restaurant. Italian artisan bread, bruschetta, burrata from Puglia with smoked aubergine and toasted hazelnuts… Those are only a few of the delicious antipasti available at this top Italian restaurant.

What’s on in Alto by San Carlo?

If you’ve been to The London Local before, you probably know I live half of the year in London and half in Rome. Being able to find traditional fried street food like Fritto Misto (only the fanciest fish; prawns, calamari, whitebait, and crab fried and seasoned), fried squid, or grilled artichokes just makes me happy.

Alto by San Carlo might not be one of the best halal restaurants in Canary Wharf. It might not be one of the top restaurants in the Shard. But, best believe your Italian food experience there will be off the charts. Plus, its location on top of Selfridges makes it one of the best restaurants with views in London. Just another type of view, and just as interesting when you want to take out your other half or chill with friends. Finish it off with real Italian coffee, and you’re sure to be satisfied with life.
