10 Best Posh Halal Restaurants in Mayfair London

I love the Mayfair area, and I’m always down to find the best halal restaurant near me wherever I am in London. I do not exclusively eat halal food, however, I have started the halal food section on The London Local for one reason: my little sister. As a practicing Muslim, she needs to eat halal food, otherwise, we’re stuck with shrimps and fish.
I have nothing against shrimp and fish, however, when we find some amazing Thai or French restaurants with halal options, I feel better. I like that everyone at the table can eat all they want without having to restrain themselves. As such, I’m always looking for the best halal restaurants in London, so that when I’m with my sister or Muslim friends, everyone’s having a brilliant time.

From the coolest halal Italian restaurant in Mayfair to delicious high end Chinese cuisine, I’ve tried to break down all my favorite places in West London. Craving food is something we all know, and since the prices in the area are somewhat more demanding than, say, the best halal restaurants in East London, it’s only fair that we’re looking for the best of the best.
Get ready to encounter the best halal sushi restaurant in London, the top Mayfair Indian food, and other amazing places for French and Thai cuisine. Only the very best halal restaurants in Mayfair, that, I can guarantee.
Halal Restaurants in Mayfair London: The Alley Mayfair

Usually, when I type “halal restaurant near me” on Maps, I don’t expect to find a bubble tea place. And yet. I’ve already talked about The Alley Holborn in my article about the best halal restaurants in Leicester Square and nearby. Once again, I think that it’s worth a mention because there are not many halal Asian restaurants in London that offer bubble tea that tasty.
I used to not be a fan of bubble tea at all, and I remember trying it again in Rome, and it’s become… life. I still think that sometimes prices really are over the roof, but The Alley is one restaurant in Mayfair where I think the prices are set pretty justly. Plus, it’s HMC approved, with no alcohol on the premises, and no pork at all so no risk of cross-contamination. Peach, brown sugar, oolong, and milk tea are all on the menu of this Mayfair gem. Very much worth a visit for all my Asian culture-loving folks!
Indian Halal Restaurants in Mayfair: Benares London

The best halal restaurant in Mayfair? Maybe. Benares focuses on bringing an Indian halal food pattern to the West London scene, and it honestly feels good. I know – there are so many Indian halal restaurants in London that it’s hard to keep track of them all. It’s also pretty difficult to crave something that you spot all around you, right? That’s happened to me before with the London fried chicken restaurants, and with Indian food. Benares has changed the game for me.
This Indian restaurant Mayfair London has their own twist on raw ingredients that they know how to elevate to the top of halal fine dining. Word. “Vibrant and inventive Indian cooking with modern British flair” – the halal Michelin star restaurant offers not only the best of fine ingredients but an atmosphere that’s perfect for a first date.
The popularity of this Indian restaurant in Mayfair London is such that the team has also opened a second restaurant in Madrid. If you’re one that loves traditional Indian food, refined on plates of creative dishes, then Benares London is your next destination. No other halal restaurant in Mayfair comes close to their magical cooking skills. The chicken and lamb at Benares are halal. As always, I do recommend you to call the restaurant in advance to make sure the halal status of the ingredients is still accurate.
Luxury Halal Restaurants in Mayfair: Gymkhana

Now, if you’re looking up “Indian halal restaurant near me” near Green Park, you’ll find Gymkhana. And to be fair, you’ll be happy you’ve found it. It’s another really amazing Indian restaurant in Mayfair London with a very elevated atmosphere. What I’m saying is that when you go, you’ll definitely want to dress up and put on that suit or that high-end lipstick you’ve been holding on to for occasions.
Gymkhana is very different from Benares in that it’s inspired by the “elite clubs of India where members of high society socialize, eat, drink, and play sport”. Since 2014, the Mayfair halal Indian restaurant has held a Michelin star too – as posh as it gets. The colorful restaurant is split over two floors that replicate the looks and feelings induced when you visit a mansion in North India, Kolkata, and Pondicherry and you can even book a private dining area if you’re coming with a group.
As far as the food goes, Gymkhana offers halal lamb, chicken, and goat. I don’t know about you, but I’m a big goat meat lover, and finding it in a top-notch halal Indian restaurant in Mayfair is the cherry on top of the cake for me.
Latin American Halal Steak Restaurant Mayfair: Mnky Hse

Finding a Latin American halal restaurant near me isn’t always the first thing I’d go for. I’m not really used to South American food, and Mnky Hse is definitely a great restaurant to go for if you just feel like discovering a new type of food. Usually, when I think of Latin American, I think of Mexican flavors, and at times, Argentinian cuisine. Mnky Hse is something absolutely different, and that’s why it’s a restaurant in Mayfair I really esteem.
They’re one of the posh halal restaurants that offer delicious meat cuts, the freshest vegetables, and the tastiest sauces. And I’m not exaggerating. I’m rather shy, and if you tell me that I’ll need to meet friends at a place where there are music events, I’ll most certainly feel a bit thrown off. However, the live music events that Mnky Hse Mayfair hosts are very chill with live soul and jazz. On Thursdays and Saturdays, there’s also a DJ set and that’s really a cool spot to come between friends, or if you’re just trying something new in terms of cool things to do in London.
The special dishes of the Mayfair halal restaurant are quite pricy and include all kinds of steaks, grilled meats, ceviche, and oysters. The wagyu beef is not halal, however, do call in advance to confirm halal status whenever you go to a halal restaurant. There’s definitely a great selection of choices for everyone in this steak restaurant in Mayfair. Which, by the way, I believe to be one of the most romantic halal restaurants in London.
Best Halal Steak in London: Cut At 45 Park Lane

Cut at 45 Park Lane is one of the best steaks restaurants in Mayfair. If you were looking for the ultimate posh halal restaurant, here you go. Prices meet the food quality completely, to be fair. Hyde Park, Knightsbridge, and Mayfair are some London areas that I love to take a stroll in. South Kensington as well, with its French and European shops like Aux Merveilleux de Fred and The European Bookshop.
Have you ever seen an £8 Coke? I hadn’t before going to Cut. I can’t vouch for the increased quality of the Coca-Cola, but I can for the great steak cuts and generous burgers. I know a lot of you are looking for the best halal steakhouses in London, and I’ve actually written about them. But how many of them provide such a high-end Mayfair experience? How many offer delicious halal wagyu beef in London? Right. It’s definitely one of the luxury halal restaurants in London that deserve all the attention.

You might know I’m a dessert junkie already – I’ve told you about some of the most Instagrammable pastry shops and bakeries not long ago, and even about my favorite donut shop, Bread Ahead Bakery. However, it seems like the best halal steak restaurant in Mayfair also offers the fanciest desserts, very French style like the Belle Epoque Patisserie in Stoke Newington, and structured delicacies.
Best Halal Chinese Restaurant Mayfair: Kai Mayfair

Finding a great halal Japanese restaurant in Mayfair or halal Chinese food in London doesn’t seem like the most possible eventuality. Well, Kai Mayfair has done it and done it well they have. All the chicken and lamb there is halal, and as with all the restaurants that don’t offer a fully halal menu, I’d suggest calling previous to go to confirm.
The cooking style takes influences from Southern China, and Kai Mayfair prides itself on a liberated approach to Chinese cuisine. That makes their menu one resembling what you could actually find in a restaurant in China – only in a halal version, with a basis strongly set on tradition.
And by the way, if you’re ever looking for the best halal afternoon tea in London, you know where to go. I’ve never seen plates of afternoon tea bearing cakes and pastries so good-looking. I’ll actually write about the best halal afternoon tea restaurants in London soon, but for the moment being, do enjoy that touch of halal Asian food in London. You could definitely visit one of the cute (and free!) Japanese gardens in London before making your way to Kai. You’re sure to spend a really fancy afternoon and romantic dinner that way, and above all, to feel relaxed when you’re back home.
Best Halal Italian Restaurant Mayfair: Novikov

Novikov is a halal Italian restaurant in London, but not only. Funnily enough (I’ve never seen that kind of pattern in a restaurant), the Mayfair restaurant also offers Asian cuisine. To be honest, if I see various types of cuisine on a menu, I usually think that the restaurant aimed at offering many options (understand: too many options) for everyone. When you see a very large menu or different cuisines that don’t go together mashed up on the menu, it’s usually a sign that not everything is fresh. But Novikov is not about that at all and does things very differently.

Best Indian Halal Restaurants in Mayfair: Veeraswamy

Now, I know for a fact that finding a good halal restaurant in Piccadilly Circus or nearby is at times a bit tricky. Well, I have told you about the best halal restaurants in Leicester Square and near the most instagrammable cafes in Covent Garden, so you already have options nearby. On Regent Street, you’ll find Veeraswamy.
This hidden gem offers halal chicken and lamb, and you can also find true happiness among their fish and vegetarian dishes. If you’re a vegan, you’ll also find some options but let me be clear: the vegan dishes are very limited. If you need a totally vegan menu, you’ll do better to visit one of the mouthwatering vegan restaurants in London I told you about some time ago.
At Veeraswamy, what you’ll eat is a true tradition on your plate. It’s a bit different from the other halal Indian restaurants I’ve mentioned above. This is Indian culture at its best, which remained almost unaltered, shining with every bite.
Luxury Halal Restaurants in Mayfair: Madhu’s

Madhu’s Mayfair is another one of the succulent Indian halal restaurants in Mayfair. Madhu’s describes their cooking style as “extravagant Indian dining”. Once called Madhu’s Brilliant, the Indian restaurant has been a family-run business for four generations now. The menu offers sweet, tangy, spicy notes that will ravish any Indian food lover. I’m not usually a fan of spicy flavors at all, and Madhu’s knows how to adapt to dietary requirements.

In addition, if you’re a vegetarian, you’ll also find plenty of options there on the menu. One thing I love when dining at an amazing Indian restaurant is eating my naan with the incredibly flavored sauces. At Madhu’s, the complexity of the sauces is what will actually make your heart sink in love. It really feels like we’re going beyond simple fine dining slash posh halal restaurants in Mayfair, and taking it up a notch to the level of the best halal Michelin star restaurants in London.
Once again, this is a very different halal restaurant than the other Indian restaurants I’ve mentioned above. They all have their own traditions, their own family culture and, as such, it would be very difficult to choose only one as the very best halal restaurant in Mayfair.
Lebanese Halal Restaurants in Mayfair London: Mamounia Lounge Mayfair

I’ve always found it was rather difficult to find the best Moroccan restaurant in London. To be honest, this might be due to the fact that I’m half Moroccan. As such, I’m much pickier when it comes to the dishes of my childhood – I hardly accept any tweaks to the cuisine I’ve grown into.
“Lebanese and Moroccan dishes with West London flair” – that’s how Mamounia Lounge describes their concept. All meats there are halal, with no pork served in the restaurant. What’s more, the chefs marinate the meats for 24 hours in the secret Mamounia Mayfair sauces to give them an even more exclusive taste.
That’s also another one of the restaurants on this list that offer posh halal afternoon tea in London. If you’ve been looking, here it is, along with delicious tea and French pastries.
